I got my Gold Defender Frogman yesterday. That means it only took 2½ day to get here from Honk Kong! I guess it's one of the fastest long distance package I've got ever.

Just got back from a barbeque of our last year students. All pre-university ß-students have passed for their exams and they invited me  and Bram also to their barbeque. Mirte couldn't come, but I managed to convince her to come with me too. She has also passed her exams, but she has to go to Amsterdam for a room very early tomorrow, so she also couldn't stay long. Bram had the evening of his life with all those girls and boys.

I added two movies in the Movie section. The first one in Basic, an action thriller with Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta and Connie Nielsen. A lot of G-Shock's in that movie. I also added a Mission Impossible page, with Tom Cruise wearing a DW-5300.

Often people ask me why there are no pictures of me on the website. Well, these people haven't searched enough, but since I hold the camera most of the time, there are not much pics of me. Sometimes I make some pictures of me myself, or other people take my camera. I have made a page with links to some of the pages where you can find pics of me, including my meshed up face just after hitting a car and a never placed picture made by Jolien of me looking straight into the sun at our local airfield. You will have to search to find this page, but this link will get you therein a flash!. Cheers and have fun!

A Dutch saying says " A good neighbour is better than a distant friend". Sometimes it's good to have distant friends. Boris from Hong Kong is such friend. He told me over the G-Forum that the Gold Defender Frog was available for a good price there in the shops. The only problem for me is the distance and the 6 hour time gap. He got that watch for me and sent it out while I was comfortable sleeping. Wow, that's what I call service and a good distant friend! Thanks Boris.

Yesterday evening I was checking the statistics when I discovered I had almost 150 hits on one day! Leela had told on a girls forum about her new pictures and directed everybody to my homepage. I followed the long  thread of her message and found some very funny reactions:

"That's very cool what he is writing about you", Her reaction: "Well, grrrr, it's not true". The reaction on that: "Well is that your short tempered Italian temperament?".

I received today a working copy of the "Red Alert" add-on "Yuri's revenge". Although I play in easy mode, it's a pretty tough game. Yuri Rocks!

I was walking through the school today, when I saw Leela coming to me with a painting she just had finished. She looked a little shy.  She made the painting for the yearly art auction. She was afraid the painting would be sold to someone else then her mother, so she wanted me to make pictures of it so she always can see it back. When going upstairs going to my lab, she asked me to put the pictures on my website, so she could always view them when she likes it. In fact I wasn't planning to put them on my website (I was more planning to place a serious bid on the painting), but afterwards I'm glad I did. It's on Leela's second page. She also posed with her painting. She said she always looks bad on pictures, but I think she's wrong this time. Look at this lovely smile.

Today's the day the Netherlands gets a place in the quarter finals of the European Championship Soccer 2004 in Portugal. Not that I like soccer very much, but I had the TV turned on when I took a lot of photo's and made a webpage of my newest acquisition, a DW-8140. I got it yesterday. It was a used one, but in a fantastic good state, considering that this watch is released in 1995. Like my DW-8040 I placed it in my vintage section. Maybe the DW-8040 and DW-8140 should move to the Classic section, there they both are not real vintage, because they are not 10 years old (yet). I took the photo's live on the internet, with my web cam on.

------------------------------

Sunday, June 19th 2004

I received a mail that the payment for a DW-8140 was received. I won this watch  on an auction about 10 days ago. The seller said it was posted to me already. I'm hoping to see the package this week. The Fisherman should also come in any day now.

I managed to polish up the pictures of the twin sisters Hilde and Julia  in Photoshop. I'm not used to work with this program, but some playing around with it's possibilities  made some good and funny results, like the sweets paper shot down here. Check their page out and have fun.

I found a great art website called 99 Rooms. It's a virtual interactive art exposition in, you guessed right, 99 rooms. Cool background sounds too!

I've got the Lungman, along with a forth Heavy Metal. I'm still waiting for the I.C.E.R.C. Fisherman, but why the haste. I think I have got so much new models last month that I must be more economical, so I can finance my vacation this summer.  A had put up a ball with Boris in Honk Kong. Maybe G-Peopleland gets a Gold Defender Frog next month (shhhh!).

Wednesday, June 16th 2004

I bought a little playmate for Puku. It's Kiko. Together they are talking until you go nuts...

I went to the post office  today. Proud I left with a package from Japan under my arm. The package was already opened by the Dutch Customs, and I already received a bill for the tax and import costs. It was quiet a lot of money, but it's worth it. The G-5600LL-1JF looks very good. It took only four days to get here from Tokyo to the Netherlands! Good job by Mr. Seiya san. Very funny was the paperwork going with the watch. Everything was in Japanese! Even a leaflet with FAQ's!  Check here for more L.X series.

For those curios about the eye, it's Suzanne's. She also took my camera when I wasn't paying attention and took a pic of me at work...

------------------------------

Tuesday, June 15th 2004

I think I bought enough G-Shocks lately. I think I'm feeling the end of my wallet again, and I have to go for half a month... I couldn't resist for a I.C.E.R.C. Fisherman of 1998. I placed a bid and won it for a very nice price. There are too much interesting models on the bay at the moment. What to think about the A.R.T.I. Wademan and the Gold Defenders Frogman.

The postman came to our door, but  there was nobody at home. He had a registered package from Tokyo of Mr.. Seiya Kobayashi. Tomorrow I will get new G-5600LL! I'm very curious for it's watchband.

I have a new pet now. She is called Puku and is very cute. She likes attention, love and Food. From time to time she beeps from the top of my computer display and dances up and down. Here she is (in real she is approximately only a quarter of this size).

------------------------------

Monday, June 14th 2004

I won a Lungman auction yesterday, another missing model in the Masters of G series . The Lungman with the Heart rate function has a asymmetric design. I always thought this was one of the ugliest models, but I want one for my collection. The sellers is a very friendly woman in Germany. I could pay for the watch with Paypal on her boy-friends account. She mailed me that the G-Shock was on it's way.

I also received two very cool "A Bathing Ape" shirts and a camouflage cap today. Maybe I make somewhere a side topic about my T-shirts. I also saw a very awesome shirt, but it wasn't my size and it costs $70,-. It had the big ape head made out of APE commercials.

Again G-Peopleland was running out of bandwidth. I bought 5 Gig's in October, but it seems it's al consumed. I bought another 5 Gig's. I'm curious how long it will last this time.

I needed a baby-sit for Saturday. My regular baby-sit is acting somewhere, so she couldn't come. After looking for some other baby-sits I managed to get Mirte. She also sent me a picture made of her on the beach without G... She wanted it placed...Well, here it is. Maybe, if I don't drink to much on DJ Rocstars Re-Birth retro party, I shall make some new pics of her.

That's for now, or free to Green Velvet saying: "I hope to see you soon, in G-Peopleland". Cheers!

Sunday, June 13th 2004

A long time ago I took some pictures of Leela with her red hair. It was a bit funny. Leela said with a deadly smile "I feel very uncomfortable with you and that camera pointing at me" after I made the pictures, but after some days she asked me "I thought you put some new pics of me on-line". Well, I lost track of those pics a bit, but found them by accident in a folder containing private family photo's. So here they are (last three pics on the bottom of her page). A shame she isn't a G-People...

Friday, June 11th 2004

Today Leon's G-Shock, a G-2300 with a single  cloth band arrived. it looks very good, like on the pic on June the 3rd.

This week I hadn't heard from the seller of my 4th DW-8300 yet, so I contacted him. He mailed me Wednesday that the money still hadn't arrived yet. I was getting very bad feelings about that, because I sent the money in a special letter Tuesday a week earlier. Fortunately the money arrived today, and the seller posted the watch today.

Totally unexpected I received a package from Las Vegas. Jason had probably found a lost DW-9200K-4V, because that's what I found in the package.

Marciej from Sweden was sending me mails everyday if my new red Terje Haakonsen Signature Series Riseman already had arrived. Yesterday it finally arrived.

The cute twin sisters Julia and Hilde posed for my with two DW-8300's. It took a while to get them together for the photo shoot. Unlike you should expect from twin sister, you only find one each time, while the other is vanished or had no time. I had some problems with making the pictures acceptable for internet use, but the original photo's are awesome. Thanks girls!!!

Monday, June 7th 2004

I got a second Snow Board Back Pack. Guess what I'm going to use tomorrow to carry my camera and my lunch... This one was still in it's foil, so I'll keep this one for the Collection.

I saw a guy at the finals of the "Zeeuwse Belofte 2004". This was a Pop/Rock contest for local bands. He had a G-Shock and I made a photo of him and his watch. I gave him my card but forgot to ask his name. Fortunately he mailed me, so now I know who he is and in I know in which band he is playing. His name is Jeroen and he plays bass in the Punk Rock band Uppercut.

Friday, June 4th 2004

Already I have new pictures of Mirte on-line. My sore throat keeps me home, so I have the time to make some a new page. I think the photo's are very cute, specially the picture of her in the door opening. At that moment she was looking at me in a very irresistible way and asked "How do I look". You can see the result on her third page.

I also added a page of my red Ambassador sweater. It's a size Large and that's a bit small for me. Good thing that Mirte was around, so she could show it in the back of my garden. Sorry for the poor lighting, it was just minutes for sunset.

The first of two DW-8300 Heavy Metal arrived this morning. It's in great shape. It's the first time I got one working with alarm and EL light, without operating it. I think I let this one in it's original state, there I repainted my first two.

------------------------------

Thursday, June 3rd 2004

Well Peter and Timo, Your waiting was not for nothing. I just took some very nice adorable pictures of Mirte, when she was babysitting Bram with her friend Ilona. I have caught a very bad cold and have a sore throat, so I'm going to sleep a night over it, but the photo's will be posted very soon, I promise.

I also won a G-2300 with a cloth watchband. I don't know what kind of watchband it is, but I think it is another double Velcro watchband. It was very funny when I paid for it. The seller appeared to be Leon ,a frequent visitor of my G-Forum.

Bondra, the seller of the DW-9200K-4AVT mailed me he didn't had the watch in stock. I already paid for it, but he had nothing interesting for me for sale. Casio was very lame at the moment. I heard the same complaint by Peter Porschen, one of my favourite sellers in Germany. Bondra said there will be some new models soon, so I decided to wait a while, to see what the newer models are.

Wednesday, June 2nd 2004

Yesterday I put the new pictures of Jolien on line. It's become a nice page I think. I even convinced her to put a small photo of her, in a not so charming position on a raft, on her main page. When you click on the raft, you will see the new pictures. They are worth watching! Talk about watching... I also put her eyes back on the background. Something went wrong when I was making the pages resulting in a white background, while she has such a beautiful eyes.  (Hé Jolien, I have found a spot to put your colorized picture).

A very funny little brown paper bag arrived today from Japan. It was holding my brand new "Metallic Red Frogman". I started immediately with taking pictures of the package and how it was packed. Check out the page, since I gained an awesome beauty!

I received three mails today. A DW-8300, a rare red Terje Hakonsen Riseman and a G-Bag started the journey from different parts of Europe to my address (Germany, Sweden and the U.K.). Of course I wish them God Speed. I had to sent extra money for the shipping of the G-Bag. The shipping costs of that Box were very high, over £20,-.

Mirte finished her exams today. Maybe I can finally convince her to take some new pictures for the G-People page. I have some ideas, but she seems to be always busy.

------------------------------

Monday, May 31st, 2001

I went out for an interview today and took my neighbours girl Jolien as a companion with me. After the interview we drove around to funny locations to take new G-People pictures of her. I took some pics in a park, when Jolien crosses a ditch with a do it yourself ferry and some at an airfield.  They are great I can tell you, but I first had to finish my article, so I had no time to make a new page. Sorry, I hope the new pictures are on-line tomorrow.  She also asked me if there were pictures of me on the website. Well, someone has to convince me to take pictures of me with my G's, but who knows in the future.

I also took two pictures of an anonymous G-People at a local rock festival. I think I put him also on a spot as Mr. Anonymous or so, until I have retrieved his name.

I also won two G-Shock auctions. The first one was an DW-8300 auction (I lost count) and the second a DW-9200K-4AVT. I have the -9AVT version already, this is the same watch, but then with red lettering. More and more people are understanding the I have a weakness the color red. Should that be the result of the thousands of  blood samples  that I collected of people in the past (I used to work as a laboratory worker at hospitals, where I actually studied for before I begun working on a school)?

May 28th 2004

I saw Karen about an hour ago, when I started biking. She was very "Happy" with her "Charming" picture in the news. I went biking because I bought a new Timex Ironman Heart Rate Monitor at "Peter Porschen Zeit und Juwelen"  in Germany. It arrived today and of course I wanted to test it immediately.

This morning I was tipped by "Daneldil" that there was a red Frogman for sale in Japan on eBay. After hesitating for a while I decided to buy it. I couldn't find much info on the net, so I consulted some Japanese Bulletin Boards. Good old Yachtrays (Sail Boat Bat) came with the answer. Here it is:

Mr. Sjors Good evening.
sailboat bat (yachtrays) it is .
Thank you for writing.
This BBS As much as possible If useful It is glad.

Although it is "RED FROGMAN" inquired, a part number DW-8201GF-4JF I think that it is a model. In Japan, it is called the red metallic (gloss ?) frog.
It is thought that sale time is around March, 2001.
However, it does not understand in detail.

Moreover, please visit also here.
I am waiting.

This text was translated with the translation software the "The translation Internet."

Note that the original text is written in Japanese and the text is translated on-line. You can see that the Japanese Language barrier doesn't have to be a big obstacle. Although the grammar isn't always  right and some words translated wrong, it's clear what mr. Sailboatbat means. I found some nice other pictures on the net, and found out this finally is a Frogman with a diving Frog in the EL backlight. Since this is my 6th Frogman, it's about time....

I decided to split the news section by years. Until now it took a long time to load the whole news section, now it loads until January 1st.

So, I'm going to hit the shower and cool down a bit now. I hope you all have a great weekend,

Cheers,

Sjors

May 27th 2004

I won another G-Shock DW-8300. I had already got contact with the seller in Germany, so I hope  to finish this transaction.

Joost visited me at the lab, showing me his new G-Viper that he got for his birthday (guess who did the background work). I made some photo's when he was helping me completing the preparations of an experiment. You can find it on a second page of his G-People page.

I also made a very nice picture of Karen in the ß-lab. To refer to may 20th, this must have been "Karen flies to Heaven day".

------------------------------

May 24th 2004

No, I didn't got any G-Shock's recently, but I won an auction in the U.K. of a G-Shock Snow Back Pack of the G-Bag range. The auction was U.K. only, but I convinced the seller that I wanted this bag very much and now she wants to sell it to me. I'm very happy with it, because now I have a backpack for my collection and another for my daily use. These bags are awesome!

I had some unexpected G-Fun today. Like all students in their last year,  Yara had her exams today. She forget to put on a watch, so she was desperate looking for one when she spotted me. I heard her call from a distance. When I opened my bag on the table, with some other students around I took out 3 or 4 G-Shocks. She choose the DW-8300, and that on the first day I didn't bring my camera with me this year.....  The biggest surprise had yet to come for her. In the big exam room hung a huge watch, while she had a table on one of the first rows.  She didn't need the watch for the time at all, but I bet she must have been stunning with it :-)

I have seen the new releases of June 2004. Casio will releases the G-Shock L.X series then. My translator says (elk loss) behind the name, but I can't figure out what that means (O.K. , an elk is a moose, but how can you loose such thing).

The new series has big leather bands. The biggest is on the G-5600LL-1JF. It also has a protector. I have contacted Mr. Seiya in Japan. I hope he will find one for me, because I fell in love with it's awesome watchband.

I also contacted a seller in Sweden for a Terje Hakonsen Riseman. I hope that I'm in a few weeks will be the proud owner of this watch.

Last week I forgot to thank Alwin. Stupid of me. When he went to Germany he visited some big shops and jewelers to watch the newest G-Shocks. He brought me two, hard to get,  German G-=Shock Catalogs. Although I don't show them on my website, I'll use them often to check functions of models, tracking model numbers and retrieving the German names of the models. Personally I can would be happy if those names were used world wide, but I'm afraid that this phenomenon is only reserved to Germany.

If I'm right Joost celebrates tomorrow his 19th birthday. Than he will be the proud owner of a G-2310GH of the G-Viper Series. Let's hope I can take some pictures of him in the nearby future, but first he has to finish his exams!

That was a load of news, and I even thought there was nothing much to tell..... Well, I'm going to take a good beer to finish the evening. "I hope to see you soon, in G-Peopleland" ;-)

------------------------------

May 22nd 2004

Finally the G-2000FL's arrived. First I had to pay €39.90 at the door for taxes. When I unpacked the boxes I first noticed nothing wrong. The finishing was a bit poor, but I didn't suspect anything, until I tried the buttons. Normally there is much resistance when you push a G-Shock button, caused by the sealing O-rings and a spring. The buttons of this watch were very light.

I didn't trust it, so I went to my local Casio dealer. Already at first sight he said that it was probably a fake. When he started the water resist leak test it immediately showed the watch wasn't waterproof at all (photo). The "Stainless Steel" back appeared to be chromized iron. The watchband with an "Casio" clasp was not official Casio, because the watchband number was missing. The screws used were - type in stead of the normally used + type.

I think I shall make a G-story out of it, because there are a lot of things to tell about this watch. The question for me remains, why does someone make so much effort to copy a G-Shock this good, because this isn't just a cheap replica. I even suspect that the module used is an official Casio module.

Some more positive point, I also got a package with a lot of G-Shock clothing, worn on a exhibition in a promotion stand. One of the greatest items was a black sweater with the text "Staff, Casio G-Shock" on the back. Check out the photo's on this page.

May 20th 2004

Today it's Ascension, or, as DJ Rocstar once translated it, "Jesus Flies to Heaven Day".  I'm  going to ride on some steam trains with Bram later today, but first I have made and edited my Mudman pages. I have made new pictures, because the old ones were not that sharp and good as I liked. It was the first time that Bram helped me with taking the EL-Pictures. He was my little light man with a BIG 6 D-Cell Maglite!

I also took funny pics of him with my much wanted Real Black Mudman. More than once people e-mailed me if I was selling this G. Sorry, I don't sell G-Shock's and I love this watch myself...

------------------------------

May 19th 2004

At the end of march I won a G-Shock Truck model auction. The seller was responsible for the introduction of the G-Shock brand in Germany in 1994. One of his promotional stunts was a fashion show in Kafe Keese in Hamburg , October 13th 1994, called 2Bitch Funky Fashion Show. An video amateur  had made a video commentary of the event. The seller sent me this tape, in the hope I would publish screenshots on my website. It took me a long time to complete this page. It's probably far out the largest page on my website, if I counted it well it has 42 large screen shots. Sorry you can't hear the music. It has great tunes of the electro era, like Kraftwerk, Liaisons Dangereuses and Visage. Enjoy.

------------------------------

May 18th 2004

Did someone notice the new EL- Backlight photo's of the MIY Riseman recently. I added the picture yesterday. Maybe I will add other photo's on some of my early pages in the near future too.

I won a German auction for a DW-8300 this weekend. Unfortunately the seller doesn't want to sent it outside Germany. This is the first time this occurred to me :-(  The Seller of the G-2000FL's is starting a search for the lost package. I hope there will be better G-News soon. I'm going to take a beer to forget this....

------------------------------

May 13th 2004

I finally managed to make some clearer photo's of my M.I.S. Raysman, so I finally could finish the page. I also added the Alien Eye Page, which is the name given to the aqua green G-Lide DW-003s in Germany.

I forget to tell that I also won an auction for 6 shirts. There were some G-Shock shirts between them. One was in white, so I'm curious how that one looks. There is still no sign of my G-2000FL's. I hope they ever arrive...

I also got the FM UNION shirt by A Bathing Ape today, the one I posted here in the news section two weeks ago. It's great.

Bram found my gasmask and wanted to take pictures from him with it. He did look very funny with it.

I want you to know Bram says "Hi!"

It seems it is not my lucky day today. First I burned my Rhubarb, I had to scrub the pan for almost half an hour to get it's enamel almost white again. When I turned on the dish washer I left the tap running while I was cleaning the walls and the cooking-range, because it was all under rhubarb sugar spots. Just after that my father in law walks in while the sink started to float over and I was standing on my socks wondering where that watery sound came from. Well, I almost cleaned it all, but even my pants are wet up to my ankles.

------------------------------

May 12th 2004

Yesterday I tried to make photo's of my new Men In Smoke Raysman, but for a reason I didn't get clear pictures without all kinds of reflections. I had not much time to take new photo's, because I went swimming. I received a aqua/green G-Lide DW-003s yesterday, so I could test its water resistance. I hope to add some new things tomorrow, because today I have a meeting for the local music magazine where I write for.

Just a sneak preview for next month. I've been contacted by an owner of a Terje Hakonsen series G-Shock. He wanted to sell it, and he was willing to hold it for me until I have my next pay. It's a long wish of me to have ae G-Shock of these series. The best thing is this is a red version, my favorite color.

 Stay Tuned for More.

------------------------------

May 7th 2004

Today I went with Ingrid W. to her friend, the hairdresser Marc Baljeu. I let him go wild on my hair, assisted with by Ingrid Beije. With much patience Marc made tribal figures on my head. It was finished after 3½hour.  Check out my new G-Shocking hairdo.

------------------------------

May 6th 2004

I got a Men In Smoke Raysman yesterday. It's transparent grey/green and it's battery was totally worn out. It's in good condition, but it's previous owner had sharp teeth I think. There are a kind of teeth marks on the tip of the watchband. The M.I.S. Raysman shall appear soon on this website. Still no sign of the G-2000FL's.

I went to Kill Bill 2 yesterday. Great movie, a must see. Not one G-Shock spotted, but there is an extreme close-up of a white dial Rolex "Perpetual Oyster" used to time 90" for a pregnancy test.

I went to a beach club this afternoon with Ingrid W.  and Bram for a drink in the warm spring sun. Sorry, I had no camera with me, so you must have to do it with the old ones from last winter.

I also found out that Casio Nerd has improved his website and added a G-Shock section with some vintage G-Shock models. Check it out!

Due to the good weather I was not much at home lately, so I had no time to edit my website. Even this news flash is written in-between activities. I just returned from swimming and a good drink with my good old friends and fellow band members Bleephead and Jack (110 Volt Lovers).

Tomorrow I will go to a hairdresser for the first time in 34 year! The last time I saw one for real was when I was 3 years old! I'm very curious how it will end (and what color my hair will end up).

I'm taking the last sips of my vintage beer, and go to bed now,

Cheers!

April 30th 2004

It's already one year ago I started this news section. I bought another Bathing Ape shirt yesterday than the two designs shown on April 27th, although I really like the FM Union print. My brother Paul K worked for several FM radio stations and I worked for more then 10 years as a DJ in a discotheque.

Today we also celebrate the birthday of our late Queen mother, which has become a national holiday 24 years ago. My son Bram has made a report of what he has seen and done today. Check it ouT!

------------------------------

April 27th 2004

What is news? Normally I write in this section about the G-Things I have discovered, bought or G-People I have  met. Lately I'm a bit buying a bit off topic. It seems that I'm into Bathing Ape. I know there was a limited edition Bathing Ape G-Shock release last year, but it was so popular that the price of this watch raised to the sky and was unaffordable for me. I guess these G-Shock's were only sold in their store in Tokyo and would have been available for a very short time. I'm very happy that I have found some Taiwanese sellers lately offering Bathing Ape products for good prices. Those items arrive in three days from Bangkok to the Netherlands, That's pretty fast. I'm a proud owner of two Bathing Ape shirts and I think those won't be the last. What to think of this latest design....

Yesterday I got home from a long weekend with my girlfriend Eva's family. I found a little packed on the doormat, with a name that I somewhere remembered, but couldn't place. I also didn't expect a packet last weekend, so I was very curious. I was much surprised when I found out it was my first DW-5600ED, that I had won about November 24th! (See news December 6th), but never received. I never expected to receive this watch after almost 6 (!) months. The post stamp noted that it was sent out on April 20th, so I don't know what this seller had done wrong. You can say that she is a slow shipper. While I added this watch to my collections database, I found out this was my nr. 170 G-Shock. Who knows, will I have 200 at the end of the year? I have cleaned the watch and the watchband and it looks almost as new now. I have worn it all day, just to find out how this watchband feels like. I can say it feels comfortable. I have used it this afternoon as a timer while I was mountain biking. It was the first time this year I rode a long time, so I have a sore behind now;-)

Recently Casio Europe had contacted me about my website. They wanted to know why I don't put much attention to the new series. I have explained that almost all G-Shock's (about 4 of the 150 featured on my webpage are not mine, but that's mentioned on the page of the watch). Of course I try to get at least one G of a series, but of course my financial recourses are limited and there are also nice rare older models that I also want to have (what to think of a DW-6400).

I hope that the M.I.S. Raysman and the G-2000FL's will get here quick, so I have some new material to write about.

I have made some new pictures of Leela with nice red hair and Eva, but I have had no time to edit them yet for the G-People section. Maybe they will pop up on their pages tomorrow.

Have a nice day!

April 21st 2004

This night I won a Men In Smoke Raysman. It is located in Chicago and since I will be gone for a long weekend  tomorrow, I asked the seller to sent it to me next Monday. So it takes some time to get here.

I also bought two G-2000FL's. Had some bad luck with that one. I won the auctions with $3,99. To cut the shipping costs I bought a second one too for the same price for my colleague Paul D. Unfortunately the seller calculates unreasonable prices for the shipping, $29,99 for the first watch, $25,99 for the second, so I ended up with a $55,98 shipping from Bangkok. The seller uses the sharp prices to lure the buyer, and calculates the real price in the Handling and shipping costs. Although $32,- is maybe a sharp price for each G-Shock, it wasn't quiet what I expected to pay when I bought the items.

I added a page of my DW-6200 "Rally". It's vintage, not very popular, has no backlight, not even microlight, but it features a 1/1000 stopwatch function. It's very beat up as you can see on the glass and the case on the detailed pictures.

Finally I also added my Thermo Mug and my Jeans shirt in the "G-Promotion" section. I hope I'll find a second Thermo Mug, so I can use it for a double Hot Chocolate at my work. Have a nice day!

------------------------------

April 16th 2004

My Street Style G-Lide has finally arrived, as my G-Shock Jeans shirt and G-Shock as well. I had not much time to take any pictures now, but I managed to take some photo's with Joost between other occupations. I had seen the pictures, but actually the watch is better in real. The digits on the display are very bright and large. Although this watch is specially made for Snowboarders (low temperature resist, -20ºC), it should be a great module for elderly active people and other people with visual problems.

Off the record, I also bought a great Bathing Ape Shirt. I've not seen them around yet, but it's a great design. I'm an XL, so that's extreme rare, because it's Japanese made.

Today also the DW-6200 arrived today. It was very dead, but I manage to revive it with a new CR-2016... I also had give it a new band, because it was heavily used and abused by it's previous owner. Another good sports watch for me.

I'm coming from a party right now, and I'm going to the next in a minute, but when I have some spare time I shall take some pictures of the jeans shirt (it's great BTW) and the thermo mug.

April 13th 2004

"Is your computer fixed already?" was a question today of a student passing my office. Another student mailed me "Is there no news?". Well, it's partially true. For about a week I'm suffering from a persistent viral Sinusitis. I have taken sedatives but I stopped with that today.

On the other hand, there was not much G-News. I'm still waiting for a G-Lide of the "Street Style" series, a G-Shock jeans shirt and a G-Shock Thermo Beaker.

Last Wednesday (the day the headache started) , I won an auction of a  second Maroon MTG-520-4B Neon Illuminator. In fact I wouldn't have won this auction if I hadn't made a mistake. I wanted to place a maximum bid of AU$80.50, but in the Netherlands we write AU$80,50. eBay ignored my comma and placed a bid of AU$8050.-. I think you guessed already I won this auction, but not for the low price I had in mind. Still AU$102.50 is a very low price, considering it's only 65,- or $78,- while I paid at least $165,- for my first one.

More people ask me questions on my contact page. Two people in two different European countries offered me MTV-G-Shock's last week. They were made for the first MTV-European Video Awards 1994. There were also 2 auctions of them on eBay. I think somebody found a bunch of them and distributes them in Europe. In Japan the are worth Yen 100.000 ( 750,-), but in Europe I think they are not worth much more than 50,-. The first auction ended today at 41,-.

There is also another reason of lack of news. At the moment I'm playing RED ALERT2, one of my favorite games I've ever played. I'm also planning to buy Generals Deluxe Edition, now I have a computer that's strong enough to play these games. Don't worry, I still love my G's and won't stop hunting in the future.

Joost, Alwin, is this enough no news you think :-)

***April 7th 2004***

Today it's exactly a year ago I started G-Peopleland. It begun as a tip of my colleague Paul D. who showed me where to get a domain. My Friend Bleep had showed me earlier how to build a simple website. Within 8 hours I came up with a name, got the domain, and made the first few pages. I also wanted to show people wearing G-Shock, featured in the G-People sections. Barbara, Bram and Cassie were the first G-People featured on my website, many more followed. At this moment my website has more than 135 different G-Shock models shown on his pages, which are even more than I had when I started my website.

In August 2003 Ernie Romers, founder of the Watch-U-Seek forums, discovered my website and asked me to moderate a G-Forum. Although I had my doubts about such a forum, I had only met Japanese collectors at that time, I decided to give it a try. First I went for a long weekend on vacation, but when I returned the G-Forum was already filled with loads of questions. Nowadays I might have about the biggest non-Japanese collection and have gathered a lot of information, but hence to my website, I'm no longer the only G-WIS (Watch Idiot Savant) outside Japan. I'm going to drink a good glass of beer to that. CHEERS!!!!!

------------------------------

April 6th 2004

Yesterday evening I added a new section in the Menu. It's the EL-Light Gallery, which replaced the EL-Backlight page in the G-Stories section. I think I will change it a little bit because there is no text on it for now and I will add more photo's on it in the future.

------------------------------

April 5th 2004

I added a page of my black analog/digital 12 Beasts. This series was one of the first series I added on my website, so the pictures of the other two models were not as good as the new page. I decided to make those pages all over again, with new, great, photo's. Check out the 12 beasts!

------------------------------

April 3rd 2004

Woehaah. What a day. When I woke up this morning I felt terrible. I think I have the flu. My friends are going to mountain bike in Limburg tomorrow morning.  My babysitter couldn't come, so I couldn't come with them again (#@%%$^#). Feeling so bad as I do now, I don't think it's to bad. I also took Bram to bed a little to late. He was playing so quiet, I didn't notice he was still up.

The G-Shock Analog/Digital 12-Beasts arrived today. It appeared a new Black/white version. As you probably have seen, I rearranged my homepage. It's my new Herpa G-Shock truck. There this is a watch website I also added some pics of nice G-Shock's from different design.

------------------------------

April 2nd 2004

This was a big day today.  Paul D. assembled my new computer. It cost me a lot of unexpected money, but instead of an upgrade, I now have a complete system. It's a 2000 MHz machine with 512MB fast memory and finally I'm running Windows XP. No more 5 minutes waiting, but a start up in less than a minute. I guess you will understand I will not but any new items these month. I really have no money left, not even for food. A good start to loose some weight :-/

I received the G-Shock Truck model today. The seller added a very nice present for me. He was the man responsible for the introduction of G-Shock in Germany in 1994. Casio launched G-Shock in a Discotheque in Hamburg, October 13th 1994 with an awesome fashion show. I received a 5 minute impression of this show. It shows models wearing G-Shock's in very unusual ways. I first have to install some little prog's to show you the pic's. First I need some good sleep. Cheers!

------------------------------

March 29th 2004

I have added a page of my mysterious DW-610. I don't know much of this watch. It has strong Baby-G looks, it's relative small and has animations of a surfer and a spinning G in it's display. I guess this was a study model for the later Baby-G models. This is the reason why I placed this page under the Vintage Section.

I also added a page of my awesome DWX-111BD-4AT, a G-Lide Extreme designed by Steve Caballero. It has a dragon on the watchband and in the EL-display. If you want to know why this dragon is his trademark, visit this page.

Today I won an auction of a G-Shock Jeans Shirt. I'm not real into Jeans shirts, but this seems to be a special one.

I also bought a GL-210-1. It's a steel Solar G-Lide and has a lot of good features. I bought this watch at Watches Deals in Hong Kong.

I also got e-mails of the sellers of the G-Shock Truck and the purple/blue 12-Beasts G-Shock that those items are on their way to me. I expect these packages at the end of next week.

The new pictures of Mirte are on-line. They are placed on her second page.

Probably around that same time, my website will be down again. I'm planning to upgrade my old PII-333 computer to a much faster configuration. I hope I won't loose as much data as I lost at the crash about a month ago. With that crash I lost a lot of very nice messages from Japanese visitors of my site.

------------------------------

March 26th 2004

The Caballero G-Shock arrived today. You can say that's pretty fast. Wednesday the DW-610 and the red Codename arrived. The DW-610 was in a surprisingly good condition. It has very funny animations when you use the EL-Backlight and it shows a turning G, just like a lot of Baby-G models. I think this model was just released before Casio launched the Baby-G series.

By the way, did you know that the very first Baby-G was in fact a Yellow stripped down version of the DW-5600, called the DW-500-9B. It was probably released in 1995 and no backlight.

I took some new pictures of Mirte today. For the "Watch inside wrist" freaks.  She was playing around with the DW-610 and showed me suddenly the watch inside her wrist. Before I could get my camera she already was playing with other nice toys laying around. What to think about my G-510D. She really likes that watch, so I adjusted the watchband to fit her 5,3 inch wrist, ha ha. Funny to see a cute little girl wearing a big chunky watch, ha ha. The new picture will be added soon, here you have a teaser.

Also took another picture ofPaul D. It looks like he was always wearing the same color shirt, but it was all a coincidence. Today I spotted him in a blue shirt. Also a good color combination with his G-520D! This picture will also soon be added.

------------------------------

March 24th 2004

My Sister Mea was very curious about Leela. She had been away from our school for more than a half year, but she recently returned. I took some new photo's of her. She  explicitly asked me to put those pictures on her page. "Why do you take pictures as I can't see them". Have a look.

I also changed the pictures on Paul D's new G-520D page. The old photo on that page wasn't very good. When I saw Paul a few days ago in the Library I took the opportunaty to take some new better ones.

Last Sunday I won a Model of a "Porche G-Shock Racingteam" truck. I didn't know there was such a racing team. There was only one truck build to promote G-Shock on a big exposition. I have had contact with the very friendly seller in Germany, so I hope I have it at the end of next week.

------------------------------

March 22nd 2004

I found the photo's of Paul D. with his new G-520D-4AV. On his third G-People page you can see him proudly show his new gain. My Brother Paul K. also showed much interests in that version. I've  heard that this model is sold out in Hong kong already. This model was released this month! It must be a popular model...

I forgot to mention I also won an auction of a G-Shock Extreme, designed by the famous skateboard legend Steve Caballero. It was released in September 1999, but that's about all I  could find of this model. It The EL backlight and on the band there is a image of a dragon. The dragon is Caballero's trademark. On the pictures below two decks designed by him.

March 21st 2004

Today's my mothers birthday. Congratulations Mum! I was up early, because the Grand Prix of Malaysia was today. A good occasion to wear one of my Cockpit Series G-Shocks. Bram was very excited by the cars, and was playing Mark Webber with his miniature F1 car. "Look dad, I'm in the grass".  It turned out not to be such a thrilling race like last year, although some rain splashes in the beginning looked promising.

I got a message from Paul D. that he was very happy with his new G-Shock of the Cockpit series. I think he also watched the race with it. I had adjusted the watch for him and I took some pictures. I must have them somewhere, but I have taken about 150 photo's the last few days, so I have to dig it somewhere up from my hard drive of my secondary computer upstairs.

I also took the time to set all my G-shocks at the correct time. I think I can't buy much G's next month. I have to pay for about 8 international bank transactions next month. Each transaction costs me 8,-. Now I found out I have 10 (!) dead G-Shock's and every battery replacement costs me also 8,-. A quick calculation says that I can buy a nice Atomic Solar MTG-930 including shipping for these overhead costs.

I  won an auction of a ana/digi 12 Beasts G-Shock in Switzerland. It will be my second. The color is probably Purple again, and it's  unworn in it's original package. I have not yet heard from the seller, but I think he will contact me after the weekend.

------------------------------

March 20th 2004

Finally I got my hair in the right color! Every time I painted it, my hair became orange in stead of red. I got a lot of comments of people who thought I was a Soccer Hooligan, but I don't like soccer, and I'm also not a chauvinistic nationalist. Now it's  beautiful "Poppy Red"! I'm Happy!

I've been shopping with Sanne and Bram. Sanne bought the woolen hat (thanks John!) she wanted for so long. I hope to take some funny G-Pictures of her with her hat, because she looks gorgeous with it. Let's hope the temperatures drop below zero soon, because it's no woolen hat weather at the moment, although the storm blazing over our country at the moment would be a nice occasion too.

My little helper Mirte came to my lab lately. She noticed that her views dropped a bit. "We must take some new pictures soon", she said very excited. That's something I don't hear often.

I bought a G-2300GH-8 for Joost. It's a special limited G-Viper model with a black "Gun Metal" inner ring, in stead of the usual silver ring, around the display. It's going to be a present for his birthday in May. He will be doing his final exams about that time, so I won't see him much wearing it, I'm afraid.

Friday a little package arrived with another G-Shock keychain , this time accompanied by a Casio Keychain. Guess how to recognize my keys now...

------------------------------

March 17th 2004

Yesterday was my colleague  Paul D's lucky day. I took some good pictures of his new DW-003 G-Lide, he bought about a month ago. It was very funny, because while I was busy taking pictures, the PC he was working on faked a head Crash. Fortunately it was false alarm (lucky again). And he didn't ran out of luck, yesterday I got a message from the Postman that there is a package from Hong Kong. This can only be Paul D's G-520-4AV of the Cockpit series. What can be better for a Formula I fanatic wearing a G-Shock which design is inspired by the instruments of racing cars and have color scheme's inspires by the colors of racing cars and the clothes worn by the drivers. Cheers Paul!

Yesterday I won an Auction of a red Codename Cipher. It's my second of this version. This one is used, so it's one I'm going to wear. Today I also lost an auction of a Riseman with yellow accents. You can't win them all. Sorry!

------------------------------

March 16th 2004

Yesterday Joost was helping me in the lab. He has a Casio Illuminator with auto-illumination function for at least 4 years and it is still running. For years he has shown much interests in my G-Shock collection and a lot of time he told me he wants a G too when the battery of his Illuminator is dead. Today he tried some models. He specially liked my G-2300. Unfortunately the G-2300 is hard to find these days, so he has put his mind on a G-2310. The G-2310 is almost the same version, but with a metal rim around the display.

This weekend I found a photo of Margot studying in the library. I have added it on the bottom of her page.

Last week I was arrested by two girls, Eline and Karen. They found their selves discriminated by me, because they don't like my "Awful Big Watches" and because of that they won't be published on my website. They found out I had a Not G-People section on the G-People page. and wanted to pose for that page. I had that much hilaric pictures of them that they have their own Not-G-People page. What some people do to get a little attention....

------------------------------

March 14th 2004

I have made a lot of small corrections and improvements on the website the last three days. Most of them are almost invisible, like the counters in the middle of the texts on some pages. They were put in transparant text boxes, so they were complete invisible on my screen. I finally found a  way to find them on my webpage editor.

I have aso removed some dead links on the Links page. It seems that mr. Jah has stopped his new website. He had some funny, but detailed G-Shock pages.

I have added a new seller, Watchesdeals, on the eBay Sellers List. He is from Hong Kong and I have recently bought two G-Shock's from him. I also added Javy's International ltd, the official Casio Distributor of Hong Kong, on the Internet Shops page. Check out his website. it has great Flash animations.

Last, but not least, I finally caught my girlfriend Eva on camera, wearing her Baby-G BG-156b-4V "Amy Amber". Unfortunately for me, she doesn't wear it much and if she wears it, I have no working camera. The last time I tried, she went to a wedding and just when I wanted to take a picture, the battery went down.

I won another G-Shock Key Chain from the same seller. Now I can test it's durabillity. Have a nice G-Day!

------------------------------

March 12th 2004

Today was the first day I could work normal at my computer again. I'm not sure how long it will run, but I think it's stable now. Finally I added the Cockpit series to my website. Check out the pics I made of my G-510D-1AVER and my G-520-4AV. The last one is officially released this month, and personally I think it's the best designed one released in this series.

Also I added my new cute little G-Shock Key chain that I bought for a scratch in Germany last week. Have fun watching.

Yesterday I won an auction of a DW-610, the same watch that is worn by Thijs. Thijs is since September 2003 traveling through New Zeeland and Australia. According to his e-mails he is testing his G thoroughly while he is mountain biking, mountain climbing and traveling off track with a 4x4. I was looking for this watch for at least 2 years, but this was the first time I saw this watch for sale. I think it's a rare model. It has the looks of an early Baby-G and has even a rotating G animation on the display. I hope to get the watch a the end of next week.

------------------------------

March 11th 2004

Hi there,

After a few horrible crashes I decided to reinstall my computer again. Everything seems working now. I took the opportunity to make a new G-People Page. Check out Therese wearing a Black G-2300.

------------------------------

March 10th 2004

Finally it seems I can work on my website again. Yesterday I got a second G-Shock of the Cockpit series. It's the G-520D-4AV  and it looks great, but you'll have to wait a little while...

My Colleague Paul D. is seriously infected by the G-Shock Virus. He recently acquired a maroon G-Lide DW-003-4V (just like my second G) , and now ordered also a G-520D-4AV.

More coming up if I got more proggies working...

------------------------------

March 7th 2004

I have a new Hard drive in my computer. It appeared that my motherboard did not support big hard drives, but after a lot of frustrating updating of the BIOS and playing with advanced jumper settings it's working. I'm still unable to access my hard drive with a rescue floppy, so I'm still unable to format this one. "#^%$$&&$#&". Therefore I am not able to install a fresh version of Windows and FrontPage.  I want to show you all my new Cockpit G-Shock and my new keychain, but first I have to fix the bug in my software....

------------------------------

March 4th 2004

Today a new G-Shock arrived. It's the G-510D-1AVER of the Plot series. The second one from this series will arrive shortly I hope.

This morning Mirte came very enthusiastic to me, telling me she also had scored 1224,1 meters with Arctic Baseball. I told her that she was the sixth in line having this strange record. By the way Mirte, I could reach my guestbook this afternoon. Maybe you have a Firewall running. In that case it's impossible to access my guestbook.

Eline and Karen posed for me for the Not G-People Section. Very funny. Eline always complains about my big watches, which she doesn't like. Karen, who also likes small watches, complained about taking pictures of Mirte.....

I also took some pictures of Therese wearing a G-2300. Unfortunately FrontPage doesn't work right anymore, so I'm afraid I have to format my Hard drive before I can make these pages.... Please be patient.

------------------------------

February 29th, 2004

Last day of the meteorological winter! Not that I can notice it here. This weekend there fell more than 10 cm of snow, which is a rare phenomenon in this part of the country.

My FrontPage 2002 lets me down the last two days. It's impossible to make text fields, something I need to build my website with. I have even uninstalled and installed the program, but I still can't fix them. I have tried different options, but the button  stays persistent grey. Any reader of my page have any clues??? If you have an idea, please mail me g-shock@g-peopleland.com.

I received the Key Chain yesterday. It's a funny item. It was smaller than I expected. The photo placed on February 24th is about 2/3rd of it's size. Unfortunately I'm unable to publish it on my website now.

I had no G-Shock models of the Cockpit series yet, but that's going to change. I ordered 2 models from Singapore. The first one is a G-510D-1AVER.

The second is a G-520D-4AV, which is just released. Although the auction says it's released January, according to the official G-Shock website this is a February 2004 release. Who cares, it's a beautiful watch, and that's what counts.

------------------------------

February 24th, 2004

I won two auctions this week. First I won a maroon DW-003 G-Lide. It's not for me, but for my colleague Paul D. Still it's a beautiful watch. It's the same model as my second G-Shock. He saw this Gee a long time ago and said he wanted the same model. It appeared to be rare, but finally I found one in Belgium.

The second item I won was this G-Shock Key Chain. For only 5,-  it's mine, including shipping from Germany. I hope to receive it somewhere next week.

The page of Mirte seems to be  popular at the moment, according to the page views and the messages in the Guestbook. When I contacted her, earlier this week, she told me she was happily surprised by the attention she got and she wanted me to make more photo's (I didn't even ask her!).

Eline wrote in the Guestbook that her high score of "Arctic Baseball" was also 1224.1 meter. Well, you are the fourth person who managed to get that far. My brother Paul , Sanne and I already got that far and it looks like this is the maximum distance that is possible. Like Eline describes (in Dutch) this distance is reached when you manage to shoot the penguin under a 45º angle. You'll find this game on the G-Fun page.

------------------------------

February 20th, 2004

I have added new photo's of Mirte working with another student on a Geography project in my office. She also took a nice picture of me, reading her report.

------------------------------

February 18th, 2004

Had a very heavy day yesterday. It was an open day of our school. I had to work from 8.30 a.m. till 9.30 p.m., but it was also a very pleasant day. I had a lot of my favorite students working for me, doing experiments with possible future students and helping them making the famous Nehalennia hair gel.

One of these students that helped me was Mirte. She wears a white Toughlabel with double Velcro watchband. Today I asked her to pose for my website. Check out the photo's. I think she looks very cute.

Yesterday I met another student called Therese. She took a funny photo of us together with her camera. I haven't seen her yet, but I'm very curious for that picture. She also wanted to pose for the G-People section, so stay tuned for more....

------------------------------

February 16th, 2004

A few weeks ago I met an old friend of me. I knew Ingrid W. from the time I was working as a DJ in a discotheque, but I hadn't seen her for about 6 years. She  was a very good dancer, always dressed in sexy dresses. She had also made the drawing for the cassette release "Inseminator" of our band "110 Volt Lovers" 7 years ago.  Although she always denies, I think this drawing is self-portrait.

In the mean time she has also acted in the Dutch movie "Wilde Mossels" ("Wild Mussels") as a skater and a majorette.

Yesterday I went to a local cafe to have a drink with her. There was a salsa band playing and we had a good time bringing up old memories. We also drove around in my car, playing Techno music, because she lives in a flat, so she can't play loud music. At her apartment we drunk Port and I shot some pictures of her. There was only the light of a few candles and she's always moving, so it was hard to take sharp pictures without a flash. Halfway the photo shoot she wanted to change into a sexy top. Suddenly the doorbell rang. She couldn't manage to get into her top, so she opened the door in her........ Her neighbour was complaining about the loud music, which wasn't loud at all.  I think those un-sharp pictures are capturing the ambiance of that moment.

------------------------------

February "Friday the 13th", 2004

Not a bad day today. On the contrary, I got a second DW-6700 "Sky Force" Alti-Thermometer. Now I have one to wear. It's a great watch. I wish I had a Starfleet Uniform, Ha Ha. Then I could say every moment I liked: "Beam me up, Scotty!".

Wednesday I managed to confiscate Sanne's Baby-G G-File for a short while. She has this watch for about three months, and  she's rarely seen without it since she got it. I think it's one of the most beautiful Baby-G watches I have ever seen.

Today Marielja walked by my laboratory. We had a little chat about the fact she had her socks on her arms. She liked my big G-Lide, and wanted to pose for me for the site (with those twinkling eyes saying "I thought you'd never ask").

Today I also added a new link of a Japanese G-Shock fan. Nagatuku has a lot of new and old G-Shocks in his collection. Amongst them an Antman and a Gaussman "Enduro du Touquet, models I love very much but I  haven't got. Check out the link and enjoy.

For good music end exotic dancers lovers I also got the "rare DVD "Vanity 9". This is a music DVD featuring the best French House artists, like Thomas Bangalter, Le Knight Club, Jesse et Crabbé and Alan Braxe combined with a bunch of Exotic Go-Go dancers dancing on their music. This DVD is very rare and also very wanted, because the music on this DVD is only available on rare 12"es. Vous être assis ou danser?

February 9th, 2004

Today I made a photo of my G-Shock Banner. I found two girls to help me. Ruth and Sanne. It was a very funny photo shoot. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough with my camera. First they showed the back of the banner, so the text was in mirror image. Ruth saw it and they corrected it by showing the banner upside down. Finally, after going back through the mirror image they managed to get the Banner as it should be. I told them that I always thought they were blonds (girls, I was only joking you)...

I also put a nice photo of Ruth on that page and also the motorcycle of the former owner of the Banner, Kai from Hamburg. Check out his message in my Guestbook.

------------------------------

February 8th, 2004

I discovered a little mistake in the "Masters of G" page. I also changed the text about the Frogman. It wasn't chronological, and with four different Frogman's it became a bit incoherent. I had planned to go to the beach to shoot some pics of my frogman's near the sea, but I wasn't feeling to good. There was also a storm going on with a wind-force of more than 9 Beaufort. No big news further.

------------------------------

February 7th, 2004

Yesterday I got my vintage DW-6300 Frogman. In fact this one wasn't even called a Frogman when released, but it basically got the same design and functions as it's successor, the DW-8200. The only difference is the little green light bulb in stead of the Electro Luminescence Backlight. It's a relative heavy watch, and it has very good looks. It seems that this one is rarely worn, because it band shows only a little wear.

I also got a DW-400 working. This is a very vintage Digital Casio watch. It has a tachy meter that calculates your average speed if you input the right distance. If you use the stopwatch and stop at the time of arrival, you can read your average speed in the top display. It's also 200m water resistant, which makes this watch a bit of a G-Shock predecessor.

For Bram lovers: I bought a little program to crop .AVI movies into compressed MPEG-2 movies. The size of the movie "Bram the Destroyer" is now 6,5 MB, which is much better than the 14MB it first was. Due to the enormous size of the first version, it wasn't possible to reach my personal web space of my provider. This had the nasty consequence that my guestbook couldn't get new messages, but that problem is solved now. So if you see this news section for the first time, or you didn't contribute yet, please write a message into my guest book. It's always good to have your feedback. You still can find Bram's movie on the G-Fun page!

While you are visiting the G-Fun page, why don't you try the very funny Artic Baseball game too. My current record is 1224,1 m. Let me hear if you can do better than that, Ha Ha!

It will be quiet on the G-Peopleland front now for a while. I have no new G-Shocks coming up for a while. Not so bad for my wallet I think. Also a nice breakpoint for my Sister Mea to catch up with her corrections. Have a nice day!

I received a mail this morning from DJ Jojo. He spins his records in San Francisco and wears a grey/blue DW-004 with double Velcro watchband. He also sent me two photo's for the G-People page. It's the first contribution from outside Europe. In fact I only had one contribution from outside the Netherlands, and that one is from Belgium, near the Dutch border.

What to think of this Baby-G File ;-) It's the picture I was writing about yesterday. I think it will be added to a new Sanne page on the G-People Section.

I visited an art exhibition in a former water tower. I brought my son Bram with me. Check out the 14Mb movie I shot in the enormous water tank on top of the building. You'll find it on the G-Fun page as "Bram the Destroyer". It will take a while to download the movie, but it's great. Don't forget to put your volume high!

This week I received a large G-Shock Banner. It's a great item, but I still haven't got the opportunity to make the pictures  of it that I want to have. The seller has left a message in the Guestbook. I shall translate the text in English sometime. He has a great motor cycle. This monster needs a tough G-Shock wearer to tame it.

I also shot a very beautiful photo of Sanne in a beach tent. It will take a few horses to convince her that this is a great photo. I hope she will agree to publish it eventually, but I am afraid this won't happen.

January 25th, 2004

It's Sunday morning and the sun is shining happily. A good day to charge my Tough Solar G's.  I'm planning to go to the beach late this afternoon, so I can get our dinner together at the Turkish takeaway restaurant after that. They got great Kebab!

Friday I got a second DW-8300 "Heavy Metal" . The paint was almost gone from the letters on the case. I decided to repaint them. The result was amazing. It looks like new! It hasn't left my wrist since Friday. Although it's very big, it wears like a feather on my wrist. Here you can see me on the road.  Watch my new minimalistic hairdo. I haven't received any extra terrestrial signals yet!

Yesterday I  got a Casio DW-400 from Leon in Maryland. It's a very funny looking watch. It's from the early 80's, is 200m water resistant and has a tachymeter function. There is no battery, so I haven't seen that function yet. It's also not a very useful function, because it only show's the speed in old fashioned miles per hour (God bless the S.I.-units, when will the English speaking countries learn!).

I added a new photo on Alex's  G-People page. It was taken at the "Zeeuwse Pop Prijzen 2004". It was a music festival where he worked as Stage Manager. I was there as a journalist and had great fun with the bands and my friends. When I saw Alex walking on stage between performances, I surprised him by taking this picture. It's a bit hazy picture, because they had used the Fog Machine a lot. Sanne acted very funny, when I left her backstage with a Ska/Reggae band that was smoking certain kinds of herbs in large amounts. Although she's a non smoker, the fumes alone were enough to get her in a very funny state. Bleephead was also saying and doing very strange things after drinking over 20 beers. We decided to drink some more beers at my place (I couldn't drink, because I had to drive). In the end I finally got to bed at 6.30 a.m. This was a night to remember.

My sister Mea is still correcting my News section.  Due to sickness and the holidays she was getting behind (or I was going to fast). She has updated it until January 15th 2004 until now, and it seems that she's getting close to today fast. Until then you have to do it with my crackly English.

There was a threat on the G-Forum where members could vote, what they thought, was the most MACHO G-Shock. What do you think. Is this Macho enough :-) mwhèè mwhèè!

Walking through my school I see a lot of people every day. Some of my G-People too. The past week Margot came into the Beta-Lab while I was taking pictures of an experiment. A good opportunity to take some new pictures of her too.

Jeannot teaches a class once a week in the chemistry class room. Very funny to hear one of his students calling: "Sir, they are taking pictures of you!". I knew Jeannot didn't mind.

Hi there. Finally got a new way to pay my Gee's, LOL. I have made a new page of my used black G-Shock Wallet. I already had a new yellow version. Guess where I pay my new purchases with.

Still haven't heard from the guy I'm buying my second DW-6700 from. I hope he didn't forget me, because I would like to have a second one. This is a used Gee  and I'm planning to wear it. It's like a complete spaceship on your wrist, so I won't be unnoticed when I'm wearing that one. But first he must find out the shipping price. Unfortunately he takes his time to find out...

January 19th, 2004

Last Friday I got a package with two rare G-Shock's. I took the time to make pictures of these great watches. The first one was an I.C.E.R.C. G-Shock released in March 1998, the other one was a Polar Science Center G-Shock, released in August 1998. Check out the photo's I have made of these watches. The last one was instantly a favorite of my girlfriend Eva. She has a Baby-G, that she not wears very often and normally isn't so interested in my G-Shock mania.

Friday I also took pictures of Marion, a student at my school, and a new picture of Margot who, by coincidence  walked by, when I was taking those pictures. I was fooling Marion a bit by putting my GW-200 Frogman on her wrist. The best thing happened some time later, when someone else asked her what time it was. She had forgotten about the G-Shock and looked very surprised by seeing that awesome big watch on her wrist.

Yesterday I found out I won a G-Shock Banner. It's almost 2 meters long and about 85 cm high. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but maybe it's a funny gadget at my school. I just send the money to the seller, so I hope to have the banner at the end of next week.

Today a black G-Shock wallet arrived. Although it's used a lot, it's a funny gain to my collection. I'm even thinking of using it as my daily wallet.

Another red camouflage Tough Solar G-2300DM-4DR arrived today. It was well bomb proof packed in a very large envelope. First I thought it was a package from Germany holding two watches, but it was one of the U.K. holding just one G-Shock and a lot of bubbles plastic.

I was helping two young students making a working volcano model, when I discovered that one of them,
