With December coming I need to be careful how to spend my money. Unlike the countries that celebrate Santa Clause on Christmas Eve, we celebrate Sinterklaas in the Netherlands. You will probably notice that Santa Claus is a poor attempt of an native English speaker to pronounce Sinterklaas. Well, Sinterklaas Eve is celebrated on December 5th, the evening before his "name day" . It's a traditional evening where children get presents of the "holy saint", who arrives at our country a few weeks before his "name day". Somehow, the good Saint never got me a nice G-Shock, but I'm very curious what he has in mind for our family this year...
I had to work as a cameraman last Saturday on a big stage. I almost had no time to write an article for 50 Gs. When I got home I started taking photo's and surprisingly around 3:00 at night I finished a write-up about my beloved yellow Raysman. I am not sure what will be the next shock for coming Sunday. Suggestions anyone?

Today I found a nice plastic envelop from Australia on my desk. I contained my second A.D.M.A. model. From first sight they look the same, but at closer look the bezel of this one is a little darker and the distance holders are darker, almost mocca brown. The pink DW-6900CS hasn't arrived yet. That would be fun wearing I think.

Further there is a Rock Native (G'Mix?) model coming in from California and I have reserved a great model (bit of a grail for me) at a good friend in Chicago. I have no idea where to get funds for that watch, but I wanted this model for a long time.

The KIKS TYO shirt came in today. The print is awesome in real, and big too. I'm not sure it's "kid's safe" to to wear it to school... I am asked to join a DJ team for a retro Acid night at the end of November. This might be the shirt to wear that night.
I got the opportunity to buy two metal card holders from a friend and G-Shock collector in Sweden. It got a big G-Shock logo edged on it. I needed new cards for my website, so I now have a great matching card holder too. The other one will be kept in it's package for the collection.

Finally also some G-Shock news. I'm afraid not very spectacular, since I already have both models. A friend of me in the UK is thinning out his watch collection. He had a very much used Mudman and a DW-6100 Thermometer for sale at a good price. Since my new computer had hit a pretty deep crater in my financial base (I guess it wasn't me who caused the current the financial crisis) , I can't afford to buy some new ones, but I could spare some dimes for these. I happen to have a new Mudman bezel, so I might restore it in the near future to it's full glory.

Also I couldn't resist. I ordered a second pink "Crazy Colors" DW-6900CS-4. This time from Krazys in Singapore. I might order some other G's there too in the upcoming months. I still want to have extra S-Kool G-5500 models. That red and green one are very nice. Also I found a second ADMA model for a friendly price. I think I'm bankrupt again in a week... Specially if I tell you I have two other nice G's in my scope...

People who am missing me on forums and blogs... Since I have finally the new computer I wanted for over a year or so, I bought two Command and Conquer games. Tiberian Wars and the add-on The Wrath of Kane. It's pretty hard to get through the plot. I am stuck in Sarajevo (level 10?). It might take a while before I have finished this game. At the end of October Red Alert 3 will be released (see October 15th). That's going to be a hot Christmas vacation!

You have probably noticed. My website has those nasty pop-ups again. As a kind of marketing trick Motigo Stats changed the odes. While uploading the new codes, nasty pop-ups and slide unders appear. Too bad Motigo throws the good reputation of the good old Nedstats counter in the waste bin. You can get rid of the adds by upgrading to a professional account. That costs about 10 times what I pay for bannerless hosting per page! Well, I shall have to remove these counters soon. I started bannerless hosting, because I hated these unwanted adds.
Today I got a news flash from KIKS TYO. They have a new limited edition series, called thefirst KIKS TYO Artist Exclusive series. I couldn't resist and ordered the Jimbow T-Shirt in purple. That Tee looks awesome and also combines my love for ATARI game consoles and skate tees.
Last weekend was a real science weekend for me. Saturday I visited a a chemical plant that makes resin bases for glues, adhesives and chewing gum.. I have never realized that chewing gum must be kosher and halal. Sunday it was national science day, so we went to the provincial library. There were a lot of activity for kids. To our surprise Bram won the first price in a quiz. First he had to solve three Tangram games on the computer. Bram could not catch up with the other, much older children, but catch up in translating Braille codes. When a Fibunacci series had to be completed, I helped a bit (you can't ask to finish the series from 13 with 5 extra ciphers from an 8 year old I think). Well, he got a MP-3 player as first price. Now he's dancing through the living room all day. I guess he think it is a great price.

A familiar voice said hallo. When I looked next to me, it were the twins Hilde and Julia. Unbelievable. The last time I saw them both together must have been four years ago. It looks like no time had passed.

Finally G-Shock news. U took a lot of pictures Saturday night. My new computer and monitor were great and fast tools. You can now visit my new pages of the Men In Rescue Orange Riseman (Atomic version) and also my MRG-100. If you can't have enough of the MIRO Riseman, I have written an article on 50Gs too with great different photo's as usual.

I write, so I exist. After almost a week stress, I got a new computer, which I hope will serve me at least for the coming 5 years. Yesterday I managed to get my new computer. I have been installing and upgrading the system since. That means I'm now over 24 hours working, but everything seems to work as it should (well, almost). I even managed to get my camera connected. I also bought a new LCD display. I have to work now in a much higher resolution as I was use to. Also I am trying to use Filezilla to upload my new pages. This one is the first.
Tomorrow I will visit a chemical plant on the other side of the city. I have no ideas what they produce, but I will find out tomorrow. It is also a good excuse to get a fresh nose. Diving into system case and piles of back-up cd's does not make you very happy. You gather a lot of dust too as you can see on my Riseman. I think I will also crawl into my bed too. Keep your eyes open on 50 Gs, I made an article of one of my new Gs with a lot of fun photo's. Also the chance of a special Japanese guest contribution on 50 Gs is near, though I'm not sure all was understood... well, those translation machines.

So you have a long time no updates, so you have three in a row. Nope, no G news. I have to get almost €1000 together, to buy myself a new PC. I think it has good specs. Two hard drives, a small 500Gb and a 750Gb. I think they can do the job for the next 5 years. In a few months I want an external back-up drive too, so I spread the risk
Since I think I have a pretty nice graphic card (NVIDIA G-Force 9600) I hope I finally can play the new Command & Conquer games. I only mentioned it on the phone with my my computer tech friend and Bram was one and all ear. A year ago he played Generals (rated 16+?) first two levels of the missions without problem. Since these games are more or less strategic and economic SIM war games, I think the PG is a bit over rated. I used to play games like Quake and Soldier of Fortune in the past. I think the PG is more on the place with these first person shooters (as the scenes are more realistic and splashy).
I just visited the C&C website and saw Red Alert 3 was announced to be launched. Where have I been. They (USA) have a new Tanya . I liked the RA2 Tanya more, but actually the Russian Natasha is much hotter! To be complete, a third super power. The Empire of the Rising Sun gets involved with the conflict between the Soviets and the Allies. This is going to be a hot winter. Look out for those cute Teddy Bears!!!

Does anyone read the 50 Gs weblog? I hope you do. I try to writer something about one of my G-Shocks every week. I'm not sure there is going to be an article of my hand this weekend. I simply have to set-up my new system then. In my last article I had a pupil of my school made the photo's. She has some photography experience, but kept asking me for advise. You can't give advice if you haven't seen any material, so I let her make a series of photo's. After analyzing and discussing the first batch, a second bath of photo's followed. It was still hard to choose from over 70 photo's, but I think she showed much improvement.

Actually I was already thinking about guest photographers. There is another pupil, who does a study for his profile on aperture and shutter times. Also I would like Richel, my big photographical example, to do a future photo session. Secretly I would like a Japanese friend to write an article, in both Japanese and English. Well, so many plans, so short of time...

Finally the computer store was open, so I tried to be the first customer. I wasn't. Imagine a small store, approximately 10 meters long, 2 meters wide, completely stocked with piles of PC stuff and LCD screens. It is known to be one of the best stores in the wide area, so even at the opening it was already crowded by people. I guess they were not all hit by the Service Pack 3 kill.
Today I got 2 G-Shocks in. Both very special. First of all (you could have expected it) the M.I.R.O. Riseman. The second watch is a great looking MRG-100 (while I actually thought it was a DW-8900, the overseas version of the MRG-100).

They both look awesome! I don't want to make too many photo's yet. I have made a big back-up of my most important folders and files. If I get my new PC, I don't want to make too many back-ups again.

It's been a long time for a news update. Most important reason is that still no new G-Shock was received. After a month no G-Shock's, I can't wait to get a new G in my hands. Actually two G's should have received me last week, but somehow nothing has received yet. One of course is a M.I.R.O. model, the Riseman to be precise. The other one is a very nice heavy G-Shock. I hope it will receive soon.
Unfortunately my Windows XP crashed pretty heavy after installing Service Pack 3. All my e-mails and my address book is lost. A police officer from the US contacted me last Friday to tell me about his experience with his G-Shock that was asking info about the GW-M5600, please contact me again. I read your mail, but it is lost now.
If I might get a new G-Shock, it might get a while before I update my website. I am going to order a new PC tomorrow. It took me 3 days to get my PC working the way it does now. It might take up to about 5 days before I can get a new computer, so I can't probably update for about a week.

I was looking at an auction of a M.I.Y Fisherman today. I don't have much money (all saved for the expensive Men In Rescue Orange models) , but I gambled with a €60.- bid. It's pretty sour to see this beauty went for just €65.-. It is the only model I miss from the Men In Yellow series... Bummer.
A G-Shock magazine of 1999 arrived today. It's the G-Shock Perfect Book. It's a nice magazine with a lot of pictures of Master of G's and models that were released around that time.

I finally updated the website with pages for my pink Crazy colors and Michael Lau. Now I have updated my website and am not expecting a new G-Shock before the M.I.R.O. models will be out, I will now work on the private website of my parents that has not seen much improvement this week. Enjoy your G!

An old Dutch saying says "You don't have anything when do not try. I have been lurking at the G-Shock T-Shirts at the Quolomo website. Although I was told an international shop would open in spring, it still didn't appear. I had some spare time (rare now) at school and started filling in an order form for the grey GW-200 Tee. In Japanese! Although there were some small hick-up's, I managed to fill in the complete form in about 45 minutes. When I came through all steps I came to a secure page for payment. In the past you could only pay with your bank account, but now they accept credit cards. I even got a "thank you for ordering and payment" mail in Japanese...

Within an hour (that was fast), I got a mail from the KIKS TYO International Headquarters in Tokyo. They had a good laugh about my order (I'm probably a girl/woman again, either aged 14 or 89 as at my Weblog School reports lately). They confirmed they looked through their fingers that I filled in Middleburg, The Netherlands as shipping city. The shirt is on it's way. Let's hope the international store will open soon!

School has begun two weeks ago. It's already very busy with experiments. My parents were married 50 years last week, so I had my hands full on the festivities last week. It was a great party and behind the scenes I'm very busy building a (private) website for family and friends of my parents. I have about 500 photo's to edit, so if I won't answer mails or private messages... I will be probably editing photo's or building the website.

In the meantime two great watches arrived. The first is the DW-6900SA-1JF designed by Michael Lau. It was a model I was lurking for since it's release in April 2005. What a great looking model this is and if you think you have seen it all, check out the EL backlight!

The second arrival is the pink Crazy Colors model. Not sure if I'm going to wear this one...

Let's say it's very pink... On the pictures it looks like it is made of raspberry pudding, and frankly, it does look like it in real too, ha ha.
Well, I took a lot of photo's, but I haven't got time to edit them all. Soon I will make two pages of these two great models.

After a week waiting at the customs office, it's finally here. I think this is one of the best 5600's I have ever seen. I was glad Seiya-san had it already on his website. Eric Haze designed this model for the 25th Anniversary. It is brought as a Limited edition, but it's available in Japan, East Asia, Europe and the US. Probably not what you would expect of a limited edition. It doesn't bother me, I am so happy to get this watch. It made me forget the €33.- customs bill on this €80.- watch (ouch!).

The summer holidays have been very expensive. An extra tax bill wasn't very helpful either. Still I managed to scrape money together for a watch I have been lurking for a long time. I think I will keep it a little secret, before I show it here (or 50 Gs).
Also I got a conformation mail from Katsu Higuchi that the pink DW-6900CS-4JR has arrived. I'm so exited. The Men In Rescue Orange models are scheduled for the end of September. Release date should be around September 20th. I'm glad I still have some time to save up money for this series.

While writing my news for today, I notice that it's my sister Thea's birthday. Congrats sis! It's in the middle of the summer holidays. Sine we went to France in May, we stay here in the Netherlands this summer. This does not mean we only stay at home. Actually it seems even busier than the past years.
A week ago we went to Leiden. Bram wanted to visit Corpus, an exposition inside a gigantic human corpus, traveling through the living processes of the human body. I wanted to combine this trip with a visit to my friend Jurphaas, who was so enthusiastic that he offered us a lunch and joined us at Corpus.

Although G-Shock was not our main motive, Jurphaas was very interested in my Riseman. Of course Jurphaas showed me his small, but impressive collection of G-Shock's:

From left to right: Ocean Grey DW-5025D, Glorious Gold GW-M5625E and Dawn Black AWG-525A. Absolutely eye catching was the DW-8900 he was wearing. It was the watch that got him interested in G-Shock's. As time flew by, we almost forgot to take photo of us together. I hope we soon can meet again, so we can make a visit to Belgium.

Though I look a lot to the Olympics in Beijing, my eye fell on a very nice G-Shock in Japan. According the Track and Trace my watch already arrived in Amsterdam Airport. I hope it will reach my house without customs delay. I have not heard from the pink DW-6900CS Crazy Colors. I think, like often happens with monthly releases, that this watch will be released at the end of the month.
One watch came in. It was the Japanese red DW-6900MC Jam'in Colors model. The Japanese model differs from the overseas model because the light button has a G. The overseas model have a ribbed light button, probably for better grip.

While surfing my own website I noticed that Bram's black GSX-900 Club-G, that he had got from Tribe125, was missing. I took some photo's and posted them on a new page. I also made some nice animated GIF's for the Club-G main page. I'm afraid these GIF's are a bit modem hogs...

Bram recently got interested in wearing his Club-G's. In summer we often visit beaches and lakes. He wants a watch that is water resistant. In the above photo he is wearing proudly his Club G at the fun fair.

I got the new Riseman! It is looking awesome. I took a lot of photo's of the watch. I also made shots of the display in all modes. I think this is a nice extra of this watch with so many features on board.
In the mean time I have enquired information of the new DW-6900CS-4DR and the new M.I.R.O. series. I just got conformation the watches are ordered from Casio. The pink DW-6900CS will arrive in August, the M.I.R.O. models in September.

Last Monday I lost an auction on a great G-Shock lamp. It was a bit of a bummer, until I realized it was quiet big and the shipping cost would be a multiple of the winning bid... Still a bit disappointed I was browsing some sales pages yesterday. I found a great red DW-6900 of the Jam'in Color series for a very good price. It was sold by a good G-Shock friend of me. This G-Shock will get a proud new owner soon.

Eva's sister, her husband and son Birk are in the Netherlands. Eva's sister gave birth to a son called Rayo. Bram is very proud to have new nephew. In three weeks they will return to their home and work in Uganda.

On July 21st Bram celebrated his 8th birthday. It was a small but great party. We celebrated it together with his nephew Birk, who celebrated his 5th anniversary.

Bram was very happy with his birthday presents. We gave him the 4 classic Indiana Jones Lego sets and it took us two days to build it all. Several years ago Lego had the Orient series, which were popular by Bram, but it was already discontinued when we discovered it. The Indiana Jones series look a little like these series, but have a great theme too. One of the temples even show R2-D2 and C-3PO in the hieroglyphs.

Sunday morning a friend an his girlfriend rang the doorbell and asked us if we would like a boat trip. I was still sleeping, but within 20 minutes I we were ready to go. It turned out to be a great day out. I used the opportunity to make photo's for a next article on the 50 Gs weblog. There were some nice Frogman models featured this month. I even wrote an extra article and there was a guest entry from Sili.

During holidays you do everything where you normally have not much time for. Making sushi rice rolls for instance. I made them with smoked salmon and omelets. I hope to make some other variations (sesame, cucumber) soon too. It is so delicious.

Saturday I ordered a new Atomic Riseman. It will be the overseas model, that besides the SI-units also features ft, inch HG and ºF. I wanted this Riseman as soon as I heard from it and I am very happy I finally could order it. I can't wait to have it in my hands.

Monday July 14th, 2008
The Tour de France has started. We try to look at the tour as much as possible. We like the cycling sport, but also is France one of our favorite countries. It is a great way to see new places, to get ideas for future holidays. I was walking in the city centre last Friday. Bram stopped at a cycle shop and pointed at a Polkadot cap. He persisted he wanted that cap, so I bought it for him. Actually I am a little bit proud for him now.

The Riseman is released last month. Many WUS members have bought one and I have seen marvelous reviews. The watch is awesome, but I have to wait to buy one. It's summer holidays, so I rather use my money for day trips with the family. Maybe it's a good choice, because I have seen the models that will be released in August and September. I was looking for a DW-6900FS in pink, but this August model is looking even more cool. Check out the colored display.

I had a nice conversation about the new Riseman actually. I compared the red eye with the famous HAL-9000 computer (2001 A Space Odyssey). Vintage suggested to nick name the Riseman HAL.
As smasher Casio is going to release a Men In.... series again. It is going to be a very nice series and I hope to get more than one of them. The series is dedicated to Rescue workers. Jurphaas, if you read this, this will be thé series that will mach my Spyderco rescue knife! This rescue knife is always with me in my photo bag. Name of the series: Men In Rescue Orange (from now on called MIRO). The MIRO Riseman and Gulfman look very nice.

This weekend a small package arrived. It was the nice looking GLX-5600. This classic square looking G-Lide model has a Tidegraph on board and for a classic square, this model is very good looking. I took some photo's and made a new page for it.
I hope you also read the 50 Gs weblog. Today I wrote an article about my first Frogman. I think it is an interesting story. I did not buy it because I loved that model, but bought it out of curiosity. Why were Japanese Collectors so lyric about this strange asymmetric watch. Read the article here. Also Sili published a great story about his white I.C.E.R.C. 2006 Frogman last week with great photo's.

I had an interesting lecture today. A professor of the Erasmus University of Rotterdam was giving a lecture of the research of the development of synapses in living brain tissue in relationship with the development of the auditive system.. Pretty tough stuff. They developed mice with occasional green brain cells to watch synapse activities.

Yesterday I have taken
photo's of my new G-Shock's and today I finished three pages.
The
green W.C.C.S. page
frankly even hurt my eyes but I like the W.C.C.S. logo, ha ha. Further more you
find also the International
Snowboard Federation model
and my long wanted Alaskan Dog
Musher's Association model.
I think I have used my brain synapses enough for today
.
Until the next G.

Lately I became interested in Stussy shirts. I'm afraid the newest Stussy G-Shock and FUMI are responsible for that. About a week ago I read Fumi's weblog and saw this great Eric Haze x Stussy "Swirl" T-Shirt. I ordered it exact a week ago and received it earlier this week. It looks even better in real!

Anyhow. I have not updated my "Shirts" corner in my "Other Crazes" section for a while. I should update it. I got also a nice heap of 5 Spyderco T-Shirts. At the moment I have set my mind on a new KIKS TYO T-Shirt. This would be a great shirt for the summer to come...

I know, it is a bit wild colored, but I like it. Maybe I should look for a DW-6900FS-4FJ to go with it.

So what's up with the G-Shock. I got a sort of grail, which came from a friend in Japan. For a long time (even before I met Gerald) I wanted this watch. I like the DW-8800 Codename module in combination with the double Velcro straps. Finally I have an A.D.M.A. model. Also a very nice green jelly W.C.C.S. model was in the package. They both are looking much better than the quick and dirty photo I took this week, but I think you can see how nice they are.

Also another G-Shock came in this week. I saw it on the sales forum on WatchUSeek. I was actually amazed nobody reacted for a week on the sales post. Okay, this watch is has very noticeable blue accents, but the white has still the overhand I think. It's the DW-003IS-6T. It was made for the International Snowboard Federation.

So what's on my mind... I think I wait a while before I buy the recently released GW-9200 Riseman. I really want to have it, but I rather go for a GLX-5600. Although the watch is and looks even smaller than a DW-5600, the Tidegraph function and the glossy finish makes this a real nice watch. Also I still want a second red and green S-Kool G-5500 model. Like always, to much choice...

Today I finished the paged for the PAG-40 (US version of the PRG-40) and the black DW-5600GM-1ADR of the Metallix-G series. Finally, after 4 days I'm up to date again. I have no upcoming G-Shock's or idea what's to come next. First I need to get a little more funds I am afraid. I think you can imagine these eight watches have left a hole in my wallet. Still there are two watches waiting for me. I have already paid for them, but they will be shipped in a few weeks. I can only tell one of them is a model I wanted to have for a long time and the other is a very nice colored jelly.

I have been working a lot to get my website updated the past three days. I have taken lots of photo's and chosen the best ones for new pages. I am still not finished, but quite some interesting pages are on-line now. The FIFA 2006 W-5600WC-1ER, Atomic Force, Crazy Gangsters, Glorious Gold GW-225E-7JF Frogman, 25th Anniversary Team Tough and a DW-002S G-Lide are already on-line yet. I will do my best to get the black Metallix DW-5600 and PAG-40 up soon.

I have not been at home much lately. Thursday I went unexpected to Antwerp to company 20 students to the Fashion Museum, part of the Royal Academy for Fine Arts, Fashion Department. The main exhibition was made by Veronique Branquinho. It was a very interesting excursion.

Friday I went to the Royal Shipyard "De Schelde". My brother Paul works there. You could visit two SIGMA CLASS Corvettes that are being built there. I met a guy with a G-Shock. He might show up later in the G-People section.

Talk about the G-People section. I started that section to show other people I wasn't the only person that wore big "plastic" watches. When I started I didn't knew that I would find so many people over the past 5 years. In the Art Shop of the Fashion Museum I saw several great books. One of them touched me. It was called "Me and my Handbag". In this photo book there is a girl or woman with her handbag on every left page, while the owner of the bag has filled in a small log. The book was shaped in the form of a handbag (I can't find the title on the internet though). Somehow I see a lot of resemblance with my G-People section in that book.

I posted the last article in a series of 4 on 50 Gs about G-Shock's I take with me on vacation. I wrote all 4 articles in Cadenet, in the south of France. Today's article is about the DW-5025B of the 25th Anniversary Rising White series. Actually I didn't plan to write a review of this watch, but it became fast a favorite watch and I found some time to write this article. A special thank goes out to Riley of My G-Shock for highlighting the 50Gs posts on his blog. Check out his website/weblog. If there is any G-Shock news, you'll read it there!

Yesterday the totally unexpected happened. The 25th Anniversary "Team Tough" model arrived, together with the Glorious Gold Frogman. Unbelievable. It only took less than 48 hours to get here in the Netherlands at my door. The watches look awesome. The gold case of the Frogman shines very nice through the translucent bezel.

I started taking pictures of the G-Shock's and Pathfinder (US name for ProTrek models). I have to update 8 watches (including the almost forgotten DW-5600WC FIFA 2006 model). It might take some time to get all pages up, but "stay tuned for more..."

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008
I reached a milestone today. For a long time the number of G-Shock's in my collection slowly crept to the magic 400 border. Today the this border was crushed. I received a package of 5 G-Shock's and a PAG-40. On G-Shock is not for me, so the counter now sticks on 403 G-Shock's.

Also I got the great news that both the 25th Anniversary Team Tough model (DW-5025SP) and the Glorious Gold Frogman (GW-225E-7JF) arrived in Japan. I transferred the funds already and the watches should go on their way tomorrow or Thursday.
I also got a great Press Kit today of Quolomo. Quolomo is a new brand (their website is not even on-line yet) for contemporary T-Shirt Designs in Tokyo. The Quolomo crew contain the creative brain behind KIKS TYO (Hobby:tech), controversial fashion photographer Yone and the creative director of Nano Universe. Quite some names. The summer catalogue contain a lot of new T-Shirts. A large part is dedicated to G-Shock and some designs are absolutely awesome. The best part for me, the press kit contains a sample T-Shirt. Mine is one of the best classic designs in my opinion, the DW-6900, the triple eyed devil!

I received #399 yesterday. It was the Brazilian FIFA World Cup 2006 model. There will not be an exact #400. A package with several G's is on it's way from Chicago to the Netherlands.
Back to the FIFA watch, there is a German seller who sells the DW-6900WCJ-9ER and DW-5600WC-1ER by dozens for very cheap prices, and no, these are no fakes, like the trillions of Bape's you see on eBay! I bought first 3 DW-5600's and a DW-6900. Since a DW-5600 and a DW-6900 were for a friend, I noticed I was one DW-6900 short. The seller helped me out and sold me one for a bargain price. I felt lucky when it arrived yesterday, so I walk proudly around with this Brazilian model on my wrist. I already have an DW-6900WCJ-9ER, so this is the one to wear. With the new European Championship coming up, it will be fun to wear the DW-5600 in the colors of "Der Mannschaft" (Note that The Netherlands and Germany in football are rivals).

I should make a nice page for the DW-5600WC soon. I'm not going to say what is in the box from Chicago, but there are at least two very nice items. Let me reveal a bit... Red Camouflage!
When I visited a scale model/Lego® convention in February, I noticed a new big building set. some people know. If it's red, I must have it. This set, the Republic Cruiser, is a rare hard to get item, but after a small search I found one in Germany for a good price (the prices in the US are much better, but it is a big heavy box, so imagine the shipping and custom costs). It took me 4 and a half hour to build, but here a nice photoshoped picture our expanding Lego® Star Wars® fleet.

More than 2 weeks no update... Not for no reason. I went on holidays to South France (Cadenet, about 25km above Marseille). We had great weather and a good time. Every day a simple but delicious breakfast and we have seen a lot of great things. For my adventures in France look at my Japanese weblog. I'm just halfway the reports. Have a look and enjoy.

At the moment I have no G-Shocks incoming. I have my eyes out on several G's, but it might take about two weeks before I get some new G's in. I have written 4 articles about G-Shocks in France for the 50Gs weblog. The first article will be posted next Sunday, the three others will follow in the next three weeks. They will be accompanied with photo's I made there.

It has been some busy weeks on the lab and also it was beautiful weather. Therefore it took a while to update my website. I already had the DW-003HH (Hip Hop BPM) and the DW-9600WC (W.C.C.S.). I received recently the other two models of the Rastafarian series, the DW-6900R-7DR and the G-5500R-1DR. Both beautiful models. I think it was worth to have the complete series. Also I got a model I wanted for a long time in my collection. I already had the DJ Spooky model, now I also have the Eric Haze model of the Silver Collection series. I spent two days with taking pictures, a little research and making the pages, so I hope you enjoy them.

I see it's al already 10 days after my last update. I have been very busy, so I did not have much time to update the website. That's a pity. I have received 5 beautiful watches in the mean time. I was very happy with the DW-DW-5025B and DW-5725B of the Rising White models. I already had those, but I liked to have this pair to wear this summer. Last Sunday it was a nice day to try out. Here I am with my new Stussy shirt and DW-5725B, watching parapentes from a terrace of a beach restaurant. It looks like I have to do something with my hair. It's pretty long... at least for me.

Also I got a nice package with a DW-003HH (Hip Hop). It's the black BPM version with orange stripe. Also in that package was a DW-9600WC. A few months ago I still had no W.C.C.S. model. Now I have my second.
The last watch I got was the Dave Quality Meat version in the Concre series. It was not easy to get it, since the seller has no Paypal account. With the help of my friend Neil from G-Shock Nation (Chicago), I was able to pay for the watch. Not only the watch is great. Also the package is awesome. It is a special box, that holds a smaller box (when fold open). The smaller box contains a set of 14 cards. Although I tried, this is the only page I have been able to make past days.
I very much loved the Rastafarian DW-5600R. I bought the other two models of this series earlier this week. Also I won another very nice G-Shock auction for a good price. It seems I have a little love for shirts lately. I also bought two other Stussy's (actually 3, but 1 was damaged and the sale was cancelled).
By the way, did anyone notice the 5th anniversary of G-Peopleland?

I won an auction of a DW-5600R-7DR last week (overseas Rastafarian model). The shiny resin and very dark green tone makes it a real fantastic looker. The package was delivered at my school. The postal service already knows where to deliver a package when I'm not at home. Ain't that fantastic! I already took pictures and made a page for it.

When I was commenting about a GW-300, I noticed my yellow GW-300 Ultimate Force was missing on my website. I found the pictures I took around July 2007. Somehow I forgot to make a page about this watch. I made a page, better late than never.

I got a huge Dentist bill last week. I suggested myself to slow down in my G-Shock acquires. It worked for a week. Now there are still 5 G-Shock's on it's way to me. I got a good offer for two Rising White models, that I probably will be wearing much this summer. Also I bought a nice special DW-5600 model, with a special package. I also found a nice W.C.C.S model that I don't have and I combined it with a DW-003HH Tough Label model.
Last night I also bought a very nice Stussy Shirt. I think looking too much at FUMI's weblog might lead me into another shirt craze. This Stussy smells to more...

After my second Dawn Black GW-5525A, I received today my second GW-225A. I put it on my wrist... What a great looking watch. Normally I don't get warm about gold, but this watch shows real class! One of the best GW-200 models I have ever seen. I'm sure this one is going to get a lot of wrist time the forth coming days.

I am trying to get a very nice collaboration model here, but I have to arrange a money order in the US. It will be bought and sent today, thanks to the help of a very good friend. I think I have that special watch in about two weeks.

I also have an eye on the dark green and shiny DW-5600R-3JF. I hope I have some money left for this beauty this month. I have been drewling over the photo's posted by owners on the G-Shock forum.

Picture by Vintage! Published with permission.
Also has Casio announced a lot of interesting G's. I was not really enthusiast about the Master Blue and Ocean Grey series, but the forthcoming Glorious Gold series are looking very good. I already pre-ordered the Frogman.

Also Casio announced a 25th anniversary Team Tough DW-5025SP model. It is a limited edition of 2008 pieces, but I already pre-ordered one. I hope I will get it. Here is the sample model photographed in the head quarters of Casio Japan in Tokyo.

Also very interesting is a new G-Lide series coming up. It is shaped as the classic DW-5600, but it has a Tidegraph prominent present on it's display. It comes in 3 basic colors. Specially the red version looks very attractive to me.

Also there will be a new G-Shock book published soon. It is probably a magazine like the 2006 G-Shock Official Book and the 2007 Complete G-Shock Bible.

I got a nice surprise package from my friend Neil of G-Shock Nation in Chicago about a week ago. So what was in it...
A beautiful MRG-210, finally a digital version to wear. The square shape makes this MR-G look very unique. It's my favorite of the collection.
A G-011D with maroon dial. Since only the black version is available in Europe, and that one is called the Black Soul, I nicknamed mine Maroon Soul. It sounds much warmer... Also this model is very unique. It is a kind of fashion watch. It looks like designs of fashion brands like Diesel, but this watch is HUGE.
A GL-121 in yellow and very dark blue. I have not taken pictures of that one.
A batch of 7 baby-G's of the Jeans series. One of them had not a patch on the watchband. A dear friend of me choose that one to have when I offered here to choose one, so 6 are left for my collection.

Saturday I got a Package from a friend of me in Maryland. JC Penney had a sale and the Dawn Black GW-5525-1C (US code for the GW-5525-1JF) was very good priced. I got mine shipped for about 50% of the price I paid for a basic GW-5500. This watch is awesome. The gold tone display is very clear. I got a dog tag with the watch with on one side the G-Shock logo, on the other side the 25th Anniversary logo by Eric Haze.
Also a Dawn Black Frogman started the journey to my house this weekend. It will take some time to arrive, but I will have two Dawn Black's to wear.

Finally the G-100DM-2ADR has it's page on G-Peopleland. It took a while, but I think the pictures are worth it. Also worth are the photo's of the black G-Lide GL-120 that I got earlier this week. This is an awesome G-Lide model. I had not seen this model before in real life. It has an extra watchband and also a reversed EL backlight, which is pretty unique under G-Shock models.

A box full of G-Shock's and Baby-G's is on the way to me. There are two very wanted models of me included. Also a Dawn Black model with a special goody is ordered via a friend of me at JC Penney's. It will be put in the mail soon.

Casio announced today another great Master of G resurrection. In June 2008 an new Riseman model will be released. This watch does not only have the Altimeter and Barometer functions on board. En passant this model is also the first 6 band Waveceptor. The retail price is 28350 yen including taxes, there will be an output of 3000 copies a month at the time of release. This is also the first Atomic Solar G-Shock that has the 24 hour Countdowntimer (thanks Buzzbait). Awesome.

Today a funny package arrived. It contained the G-Lide GL-210. I always thought it was a relative small (G-2900 sized) G-Shock. To my big surprise, the watch is pretty big. Topher, many thanks, this model was on my wish list for a long time!

I updated the website last week with three models, but I found out I forgot my G-100DM-2ADR completely, while this watch looks awesome. I hope I will have some time soon to add this watch and the G-Lide to G-Peopleland.

I took a lot of pictures Tuesday of my Orange Monster, my black Beams G-Shock II and of course of my GW-M5600. Since I had a pretty busy schedule, it was Open Day at our school yesterday, I did not have much time to update the website.

Actually a phone call of a friend of me almost made it not possible to update today too. She had gotten a free video recorder, but could not record. When I arrived, she had already removed the recording protection of the VHS-tape. When I examined her video and TV set, I noticed the antenna wasn't connected to the Video, a second coax cable was missing and also she did not have a remote control to set the senders... So I returned much earlier then expected to finish my new pages job, ha ha.

Azrael is our new Family member. It was actually our neighbors cat, but they moved to another town. We are alone not sure the combination with our other pets is a good one...

Monday, February 18th, 2008 Post #2
Just got in the house. The GW-M5600. This is a watch a lot of G-Shock enthusiasts have been waited for in Europe. Casio released all kinds of Waveceptor models that receive the signal(s) in Europe, but there was no classic square model. Finally Casio made their type VI. (DW-5000 = Type I, DW-5600C = Type II, DW-5600E = Type III, G-5600 is type IV, GW-5600 = Type V). I have a lot to update in G-Peopleland I am afraid. For Europe this watch is already available at Tiktox!
