A few days ago someone asked me for help to search for a Gaussman. He told me he was a German G-Shock collector and that he also liked the G-People section. I asked him to sent me some pictures of him with his G-Shock's. I got those pictures yesterday. He appeared to be a fellow Mountain biker, but in stead of those "little" dunes, I have to ride in, he rides in the real unbeaten tracks in the German mountains. Thanks Jochen, I will build you a page soon.
Casio released the Pro-Trek PRG-80 recently. I consider it the improved PRG-50, which I'm actually wearing the past few days. Although I have a big Tax debt, I decided to buy one, since I got an offer that I couldn't refuse. This time it's the resin model, with orange accents. I guess this will be the only watch I can afford this month, since I also needed two full terrain tires for my red Bulls Mountain bike, and I frankly also want SPD pedals, in stead of Look pedals.
A finally made two pages for new sections. It will take a while before I will make up these new sections, but now I have to. Probably a nice thing to do during the summer holidays.
Today we officially have a heat wave, but they forecasted a lot of rain, thunder and bad weather. Although the forecast said it would begin at the end of the afternoon, there is still warm and dry everywhere in the country, although it's getting late in the afternoon. We will see about this tomorrow. I won't mind some colder temperatures. Since Monday the temperature inside our house didn't hardly com below 25ºC, even at night.

Well, not much real news in
G-Peopleland. At least, no good news. I got a Tax bill that will hold me for
buying a new G for a long while
... I
don't understand it, I earned just about the same as I did last year and filled
in a for that should give me right to get back more, but instead I have to pay.
I guess I have to enjoy the simple and free things of life. The last two days
the thermometer reached easily 30ºC, so our lives take place a lot outside. A
bit pity. I hoped I could buy a Triple Crown Frogman. The good thing about not
buying one is that I do not need to choose between the red and the green
version, since I like them both very much.
I saw Joakim has placed some messages on my guestbook. Sorry mate, our students are only at school to do some exams, so I won't see Noortje this year anymore. I also got a mail from an UK DJ. I hope he sends me some nice pics of him spinning records with his GW-1210! Great choice to wear and to be seen with. I bet he uses the full automatic Backlight function a lot...

I ordered a nice Primal Jersey again. It looks very, ...uh.... Alien. People on and off the road seem not to get their eyes from you, ha ha. The seller that sold me the "Mini Me" jersey, that went lost in mail, has sent me a new package last Friday. I hope this package will show up soon. If I got the package this week, I think that seller deserves at least Nobel Price. I still can't understand what happened with that package. The USPS told me it was handed over to the Dutch postal Service, but the Dutch postal Service didn't have the numbers. I guess there is a bike racer at the customs now riding in a Primal shirt..... I can't understand what else should have happened.

It took me some time, but today I finished the 2 pages for the Black Helios Frogman and the Track Terminal. Although it's blue color, I like the Track Terminal, but the Black Helios Frog is probably the highlight in my collection.
A musical day today. I begun waking up very early this morning with "Whishing" of A Flog of Seagulls in my head. I don't know where I must have picked it up, but I already had a funky Filter Disco version in my head. Poor me, I still haven't set up the studio yet... This afternoon I heard "Talk" of Coldplay on the radio, with that guitar hook taken from "Computer Love" from Kraftwerk. I don't come into town much, but I managed to get Eva and Bram into my alternative music store. I bought myself the new "döppelalbum" of Kraftwerk "Minimum - Maximum" and finally "Everybody Herz" by Air. I also found the €0,99 Soulwax CDS "Any Minute Now" that also contains the song "NY Excuse"for an old student of me. I believe he's going to be a very gifted guitar player in a few years. After a afternoon shopping I started some research on an old video I had seen once about a guy who is a NYC Taxi. I knew it was a song from Badly Drawn Boy, but I don't know the title. I found out that it was a song called "Disillusion". After a lot of hopeless dead links I finally found a source to view this great video. Don't click away too early, the weird reversed delay music at the end is great. Nice T-Shirt also, ha ha!

- It's more fun to Compute -
I'm still looking for one song I can't find the title from. It's pretty new, popular and contains of female vocal cut up samples while a women sings. It sounds a bit like "Solex", but I don't think it isn't. It has a chorus sounding like "I'm sorry, it's like this", but I'm not sure. In the video clip (with no announcements, grrr) you see the women singer in a Barbarella space ship taking off her space suit... This Barbarella Rip Off was of course already been done by Kylie Minogue for "Confide in Me", but who cares, I only want to know the name of the song. Did I mention Barbarella is my Gamers name on Generals - Zero Hour? Can someone help me out?
- I program my Home Computer -
- Beam myself into the future -

I got my yellow Reggae DW-003R. The auction said it was in good used shape, but when I got it you could tell that it was worn much after it's purchase on November 25th, 1997. Indeed, it has it original warranty papers and a stamp from the shop in Singapore. When I opened the box the band smelled like old sweat, been there too long. It's upper band that originally was probably black is faded to whitish grey. Probably due to swimming other water sports. I shall was the watchband in the washing machine and look how it looks then, but I'm afraid it won't look much better, although the smell might be gone then. And then to think I paid €45,- for this watch, including shipping from Germany.
I recently found out I still haven't made a page for my blue DWM-101 "Track Terminal" and my "Black Helios" Frogman. By the way, this photo, taken from the television show "Space 1999" from 1975.

Antonis told me that Black Helios was Greek for Black Sun. It seems that a black sun is another word for a black hole, a heavy but very small star, so dense, that it's escaping velocity is higher than the speed of light. Would it's existence by the way proof the Light particles theory?
On July 1st I will go for the first time to see a concert of my old time musical favorites and source of inspiration in minimalism and sound. Kraftwerk will play at 013. I've heard it's a great show and I'm looking forward to it.

I'm totally broken... I went with a friend through the Dutch dunes yesterday. I think we rode over 20km over unpaved roads and paths up and down the dunes, while a 6 to 7 Bft. stormy wind was blowing sand frequently against our bodies and bikes. I have seen parts of our island I have never seen before and seen slopes I thought it was impossible for man to ride, but I have rode them all, except for one stairs up. Almost above my rear wheel slipped and I couldn't get my front wheel over the next step. Grrr. I'll need terrain tires to get more grip on these stairs. Luckily I wasn't wearing click pedals, because I would have landed in the barbed wire with my new O.T.B.S.C. shirt...
I also got my Good Bush/Bad Bush shirt yesterday. It's great. It's very appearing while you wear it.
Last week I won three G-Shock "Shock the World" Wheel Packages. Since I have 6 now, I will give some of them to some friends.
I won a brown version of the Reggae DW-003R. I already got a message from the seller he has got the money and he is sending it this weekend.

Today I bought a new Mountain bike. It's a 2004 model of the Bulls Comp 7.50 Disc. It's is a little different from my other Bulls. It has LX 2004 in stead of XT groups, the Disk Breaks are mechanic in stead of Hydraulic and it has a "Rock Shox" suspension fork.. I already have placed a Bo-Bike kid carrier on it, so Bram can also ride with me if he likes.

Bought a nice shirt yesterday. I had seen it around the last elections in the U.S. but forgot to buy it. I recently saw someone riding in such a shirt.

I think it looks cool. Last week I got a package from Hong Kong with two heavily used G-Shock's. The first one is a GL-121 and the second one s a Dark green/khaki GL-100V. The watchband of this one is in bad shape, so I'm thinking of buying a black one at Tiktox.
------------------------------
Sunday, May 15th 2005
Yesterday morning I found the blue DWM-101 on the door mat. The watchband needed a big wash and the case also needed some cleaning, but after finishing that it still looked very fresh. The only flaw is a deep scratch on the display. In spite of it's blue color I have worn it yesterday and today. The blue color doesn't bother at me....
This morning the doorbell rang and my neighbour was standing with a little package. I thought it was my cycle computer, but a closer look at the package told me it was from Japan, Kyoto to be more precise. Unbelievable, 4 days after I bought it from Ozzie. A Black Helios Frogman. It looked very good, although it needed to charge very bad. I already took it for a ride (by car this time). The total black bezel looks awesome, even better than the pictures I have seen from it. I hope to make soon some good pictures of it and make a page for it.
While visiting the little town of Veere, I bought us: Bram, "Uncle Beep" and me, an ice-cream. Not just ice-cream, but hand made Italian Ice-cream. We were sitting at the shore, when Bram licked his cone. At the third lick, both his (enormous) balls Ice-cream fell on the floor... Of course I bought a new ice-cream for him, but in a beaker this time. After drinking a nice glass of Affligem Dark and a nice walk through the authentic centre of the little town, we stopped at the Grandma's Candy store. What a surprise, Karen was working behind the shop window, making packages of eatable paper. I knew she was working today, although I wasn't sure which shop. I was forgotten to take my camera with me. I would like to have had a nice picture of her in her grandma's apron and cap. I would also have liked to have a picture of me with my Black Helios Frogman on the terrace...
This morning I got up very early with Bram. While he was watching TV and was playing with his cars I put together three pages, that I was planning to make for a long time. The first page is that of the GL-7500HD. I think it's a great looking watch. The red accents makes it more special than the normal G-7500 version. Soon the basic models of the GL-7500 will come out. Those versions are very bright colored: red, yellow and two tones of blue. I still think this mine the best model, designed by Donald Takayama from "Hawaiian Pro Designs", a famous surfboard designer.
After that I made a page up for Coen, with his Sea Pathfinder SPF-60T. He's planning to use its depth meter on his next vacation. Coen helped me sometimes at school and was all the time complaining his old watch broke down a few months ago. Well, with this watch I hope he has a long time pleasure.
Also I think I have teased you enough with that picture of Noortje. Well she's finally on-line now! Check out the background, one of the best I think I have made since a long time. I'm going to watch the Prodigy now, who will perform live on Pinkpop in a few minutes. It will be broadcasted live on national TV and internet (www.3voor12.nl).

Friday, May 13th 2005 #2
Just in time. I wanted to go out to play football with Bram, are the bushes, not far behind my house burning, causing a lot of smoke.... Probably the hay, laying on the ground was heating so much it caused itself to catch fire. I phoned the fire brigade but fortunately the fire went out itself, before the firemen arrived. It was very funny, because the fireman commander is the guy who teaches me to put out fire (I'm a member of our school's rescue team, so I need to know how to put out a small fire or how to perform first aid). I didn't had a garden hose reaching that far, else I could have put out the fire myself. What will happen next???

Friday, May 13th 2005
Nothing went wrong today, although Friday the 13th... I've been busy behind the scene's, but I think most of you won't have seen it. I have added some cool links in the Links section the past days. I have been contacted by Addict Clothing, U.K. about their Addict Frogman, I finally found the Bathing Ape website. Three days ago I got a extreme lot of visitors from over the world (240 visitors in 24 hours!). I found out a lot of those visitors were lead by a Lifestyle website, called Rift Troopers Head Quarters. I contacted RTHQ. Nikolai in the U.K., the owner of that website was happy to hear that it caused so much extra traffic. I found also a very nice 400% size U.N.K.L.E. Bear Bricks on one of his links. I don't have any Bear Bricks, but some of the Camouflage Bathing Ape Bear Bricks are very cool!!! Thanks Nikolai!

What's more G... Well, I still haven't got new G-Shock's, but that can change soon. I won several auctions and I also bought a Black Helios Frogman from Ozzie in Japan! This means I will not buy any G-Shocks until the second half of June I think!!! You have to leave some things I you want something. What did I win more.... A green G-Mix, but I don't know the model number, A black Big Double Velcro G-Lide GL-100V with bright red buttons and a G-Lide GL-121. I also have my mind set on a MRG-121T, but I don't think I will win this auction. This MR-G Model is not only very popular, but the retail price was DM 999,- (€499,50/$625,-).
I also ordered a Mini Me Jersey, along with a nice Spider Jersey. They still didn't arrive. Very strange, I ordered them 11 days ago, while the last time I ordered there it only took 3 days to get here. Still I hope to have them soon, because I can always use some extra cycle wear, since I'm riding my bike whenever I've got the chance.
Yesterday a graduate student came by. His name is Coen, Joost's younger brother. While talking with him, my eyes fell on the enormous Pro-Trek like watch on his wrist peeking out of the sleeve of his coat. While observing better, he had a Sea Pathfinder SPF-60T. It was the first time I saw one on someone's wrist. He got it for his birthday and it was bought at my local Casio dealer and service centre. Of course I took some pictures of him with his watch. I hope to have a page of him in the next few days, as also a page for my GL-7500 Hawaiian Pro Design and of course the page of Noortje. Noortje was asking for it yesterday and I felt a bit ashamed I didn't make her page. I already have made the photo's for her page ready, so It won't take long to build that page. Here you have a preview to tease you....

Sunday, May 8th 2005
Mothers Day today, so we went out with the family today. We had a historical ride with a steam train and had a great time. We are planning to go out for a pancake, but Bram isn't willing to go, so perhaps it we stay home and eat chips and minced meat sausages.
Yesterday I won the blue version of the DWM-101, also known as the Track Terminal. That is a long time ago I bought myself a blue G-Shock. I got it for scratch, but the batteries are empty, so I need to revive it first.
About a week ago I was sent a message that the WatchUSeek forums will be setup with totally different software, since the old software didn't hold up anymore. Since Friday everything went into a big vortex and this morning the old G-Shock forum, with all the other old forums were closed! The new watchUSeek forums were open for members since Friday. It looks real great, but it takes a while to get used to it. Check out the new G-Shock Forum and sign up today!

It was a marvelous day yesterday. It was 21ºC and very sunny. a good day to take my Bike out for a ride. I don't know why, but I ended up 2 islands further riding through the dunes and forests. After more than 50 km, I called Eva to pick me up, because I didn't have much energy left to ride back. In the evening my parents in law visited and we had a barbeque. Too bad I lost a Raysman auction. It was a nice model. It was black, but the lettering in the display was red in stead of blue. Also it looked like the buttons were gold coated. It's new owner has to pay a fairly high price for this watch, since I bided up to €125,- which is quiet a lot of money. At the moment you can almost buy 2 Raysman for that in the U.S. and probably in Europe too.
This night I received a mail from David from Santa Cruz, California. He's a G-Shock collector and wanted to be taken up in the G-People Gallery. Well David, check it out, you're there!

If I have some spare time today (it's still morning here), I will try to work on my G-7500 page and a page of Noortje. Tomorrow I will be visiting my sister Thea, who is on a camping on the other side of the Westerschelde. If the weather is nice on Wednesday I will go cycling with Bleephead somewhere (we don't know for sure where to go to).
Bram is already feeling a bit better. Although heavily coughing he tried to play some soccer with his granddad for a few minutes yesterday. A nice face plant stopped him unfortunately.

Queens day today. Yesterday I screwed up my guest book. Not sure what went wrong, but after a few hours of sweating, it's back on-line, like nothing happened. My website seems to have moved to another server, which looks faster than the old one. Took me also some time to discover that. That's why the news of April 28th is uploaded this morning... Well, I'm going to find out what festivities there are in the neighbourhood. No G-News...Yet.
------------------------------
Thursday, April 28th 2005
Didn't I write no news for so long??? Sorry. Time flies I guess. Anyone checked my guestbook? Someone bought the same O.T.B.S.C. Cycle Jersey as mine. Very funny what a little news section like this can do. So if I say I'm listening to the CD of Withey right now (The Light at the End of the Tunnel is a Train), this will mean someone buys it, because I like it? Who knows.
I got a mail a few days ago from Edouble8 from Hawaii. He had seen my page of my Hooks Up G-Lide. The Japanese translation is in text good, but the pronunciation is different. So Si-ru-mi Cu-ra-in is the closest way to pronounce Jeremy Klein. Considering Japanese Si is almost pronounced as Je, the rest will be clear. Thanks Edouble8 for the clear explanation!

Tuesday I received my GL-7500! It looks awesome. It has a Vibrating Alarm. I already have taken some good pictures, but I'll wait for the weekend to make up a page. Also Noortje will give Acte de présence! Today I asked her to pose for me again, but this time for the G-People Section. To refresh your memory, Noortje is that cute girl two months ago, showing the Big Baby-G. Saturday is Queens day, so there will not much time to work on the website, but I will have one week of vacation after that, so be patient.
Today I also received the DVD "Goddess from 1967", which is one of the most impressive films I have seen lately. It's starring Rikiya Kurokawa and Rose Byrne, who also starred in Troy. Antonis is still convincing me to see that movie, but I still haven't got the time, sorry Antonis, I really gonna watch it. I have taken some stills of the movie to get you tickled a bit. One of the best quotes of the movie is something like this: "You hear those insects crushing on the windscreen. It's the sound of death".

Unfortunately the movie is only released in France and can I not remove the French Subtitles (no it's not an illegal copy). Although my French is very poor (almost as good as my Japanese), it is handy in the Japanese scenes. I still hope there will be a European or Dutch version of this DVD in the future.
Today also the Yellow G-Shock G-Lide for Karen arrived. I haven't seen her yet on-line and probably not before the weekend, but at least it is here...

I forgot to tell you... I was busy rebuilding the page of the 21st C.B. version by Tommy Guerero two weeks ago. I know I was showing it to some people that day, saying I didn't know what "No Queda el Tiempo". The same evening I got an e-mail from Per in Copenhagen. He gave me the translation. It means "No more Time" or "Not enough Time" in Spanish. Thanks Per...
Tuesday, April 19th 2005
Yesterday I got the message that I, with my story "13" about my bike accident 4 years ago, will be submitted in the Over The Bar Scar Club. Wow, everyone in this club should wear G-Shock's. I thought that the 75 km/h crash against a cars window shield was about the heaviest think a man could overcome. You should read the stories. Today I ordered the Club Jersey. I hope I will stay vertical in the future...

Yesterday I received a black DWM-101, in Germany called Rap Station. I was hunting this model from almost from when I was starting to collect G-Shock's, but this model was hard to get. Maybe I should try to get the blue version too, to get these series complete.
About a week ago I got a funny present from Japan. Ozzie sent me an G-Shock umbrella. I hoped it would have a G-Shock logo, but the only logo is found on the cover. Still a great item.
A few months ago (in January) I also got another present from Ozzie. It was a small bag for storing a G-Shock. The box has been stored itself in my windowsill, but yesterday I took some nice pictures of it. It has a beautiful flower design when you turn it into the light. Thanks Ozzie.
Sunday I won a yellow DW-003S Glider for Karen. She doesn't know yet, or she must have checked the news section already...
I already am looking out for a new Primal Jersey. I also like this Mini Me Jersey....

April is getting into the last third, so I hope to hear good news from Seiya in Tokyo. Well, I hope to inform you soon. Cheers!

Saturday, April 16th 2005
Brrrr, it's cold and wet here. Only 5ºC. Although the cold I took my bike for a ride yesterday, but no rough terrain this time. Tomorrow is a Auction ending for a G-Shock, which I hope to win for Karen. She's really fond of that watch.
We are going to eat outdoors, but Bram stays home. It's hard to get a baby-sit during the school exams weeks, but Julia wanted to look after Bram for us.
After 2 weeks of resting somewhere on my hard disk, I finally made the fourth page of Anne, this time posing on the Teachers table a L.X series G-5600LL. Unfortunately this will probably be the last, since she will be leaving school soon, along with quiet a few G-People.

Wednesday, April 13th 2005
It took me a while, but finally it's there. Karen's page! Not that I needed so much time to make up her page, but I also wanted to translate her Plea, she wrote January, 2004. It was hard to keep her sharp and funny edges in the text. I think for some viewers it could be a bit rude text from a young girl, but I think it's a brilliant Plea. Or like I said to her after I read it for the first time: "I can use a newer car"..... I was listening to some very good music too while making the translations and her page. Try to find a copy of "Crunch Time by Misc." and "Love the Machines" by the Martini Bros. You'll find an excerpt of "[She's] Heavy Metal". Talk about Plea's, on the CD there is a commentary about a report in the news paper, "Boy thought he could fly on LSD" He jumped of a building and killed himself. That's absolute rubbish. If you think you can fly, why do you climb up a building, and not fly up....."
Some weeks ago I received a Vinyl G-Shock Banner that was used along the track of a Motor Cross event. It's big and heavy material, not as my other banner. Now I have to look for a nice place to show it.
Mr. Seiya San contacted me, telling the GL-7500HD-1JF wasn't released yet. It would come out at the end of the month. No Problem. As soon as it's released, Mr. Seiya San will get one for me and sent it to me. Expected end of April or the begin of May on G-PEopleland!
After about 75 days, finally another Beige DW-069 arrived from Germany. The seller claims he is very sick. I don't know if it's true, but I'm glad I have my watch.
------------------------------
Monday, April 11th 2005
Yesterday afternoon I finished rebuilding my website. Saturday I started at 9 a.m. and Sunday at 7.15 a.m. so it was a lot of work. My eyes hardly can see a computer monitor and my hands hurt when I'm typing or click my mouse. Today I corrected some pages, that still weren't working and added some counters. Everything should be viewable in all browsers now.
Saturday a brand new black basic Gaussman arrived with a brand new Beige DW-069. I wrote Mr. Seiya San to look out for a GL-7500HD-1JF. It's a special version of the GL-7500 of the G-Lide models that are going to be released in May or June. Today I got a message that he holds one for me. I have sent him the money already, so I hope to have it soon. Finally a new model for on my website.

Yesterday I also won an auction of a DWM-101. In Germany this model is known as the Rap Station. It took me a long time to get this model. I haven't had contact yet with the seller, but I hope to hear from him soon.

Maybe I will add some new things tonight, but I think I will rest a little bit. I'm not only tired of working on my computer. Yesterday I have been to the Mountain Bike Trail in the Dunes for the first time in almost a year. I feel muscles on places I even didn't know they where there... If you use an other browser than I.E., please check out my website. If you might find any errors, please feel free to contact me. Cheers!

Normally not a special day, but today G-Peopleland exists exactly 2 years. Almost forgot it, until my son Bram made an Aprils fool joke, six days too late. All of it begun of a joke of my mate Bleephead. He designed the 110 Volt Lovers Website and wanted me to learn how to build a website... Soon I got about 10 pages, but now G-Peopleland contains over 450!!!! pages. I just bought 5 Gb web hosting for your viewing pleasure. At the moment the website uses about 1 Gb a month, so this will be enough for the next 5 months.
Have fun and keep the G alive!

Sunday, April 3rd 2005
We had a very good weekend, so I was outside my house a lot. It looks like the first signs of summer has hit our country for the weekend. I got some new Cycle Jerseys, so I was a lot to find on my bikes on the island. I also got very square eyes from rebuilding my G-People Section. I now started to edit the Masters of G section. Again this is a lot of work (not to speak about the Special Series section). We also had a very nice picnic in our back garden with some friends and my neighbours.
Thursday I got a vinyl G-Shock banner, used at a Motocross track. It's very huge. Friday I took a picture of it. I won't know when I have the time to add it to my website, but let's hope it's soon.
I still have some pictures of Karen, but I didn't have time to make a new page for her. I promise to add them when I have finished the Masters of G section, along with the new pictures of Anne. Well, I'm very tired of cycling and rebuilding pages. I'm finally of to bed now. Here you have a little teaser of Karen. Hmmmm, Ben & Jerry's.

With square eyes in my head I can now proudly announce that I finished rebuilding the G-People section. Now everybody using other browsers than I.E. can view all the G-People.

Tuesday, March 29th 2005
It's been really busy here. I started Sunday with rebuilding my site, so it will be viewable in other browsers. I now have done approximately about 30 pages, so I have 420 to go. I didn't know where to start, but I started with the G-People Section first. I have done now every one from A to D and we'll see when it is finished. I think next I will work on the Masters of G section, followed by the Vintage section. These are the most frequent visited pages of my website.
Today I took some new pictures of Anne with a G-5600LL of the L.X series. and with a Pro Trek PRG-50T. The last watch was a request from my Guestbook. I think it will be her last entry, because, after seven years on our school, she's leaving school for her final exams in two weeks.
Since I started rebuilding the site I have had a lot more visitors not using Internet Explores. At one time those not IE users nearly reached 20%, which meant that 1 on 5 visitors uses Netscape, Mozilla or Opera browsers already! If you are reading this and you are a non-IE user, I would like to have some Feedback, specially Mac users.

Sunday, March 27th 2005
Today it's Easter. I got some help how to rebuild my website from the FrontPagetalk forum. I found out I have build 451 pages, so it will take some months to get my website working again. The first page I build was that of Antonis from Cyprus. We chat a lot about G-Shock's and other topics lately. He has a nice G-Shock collection. Most of them are from the Cockpit series. Recently he acquired a GW-1600, which he proudly calls "The King". I asked him to pose for the G-People section, and he promised me to sent pictures. Today I found them in my mailbox. I used them to build a new page. Check the page of Antonis, the King and some other G's.
Yesterday Karen and I went to Domburg to take some pictures. She wanted some new pictures of herself. Of course I combined it with a trip and a G-Shock photo shoot for G-Peopleland. We walked a bit through the small village and over the beach. Although it was a bit chilly, Karen frequently threw of her vest to pose in her top. Eating an Ben and Jerry's ice cream was of course the greatest high of our trip. We also visited Suzanne in the shop where she works. The pictures will be on-line soon.
Today we went to a indoor playground, also near the sea. Bram had a good time climbing on a lot of obstacles. I wish I had a laptop, so I could Bram there to play and work on my website...

After struggling with my Web Page Editor, I managed to get it working properly again. A button was not functioning and nothing could make it work...
I bought a Basic Gaussman today. I wanted a mint version for a long time, because I like this model, and I wore it a lot in the past. When I have it, I think I will wear my old one more...
Ozzie told me a week ago that he found out his Postman wore an Antman, the first Atomic G-Shock. Of course I wanted to see pictures of him, so I asked Ozzie. I almost forgot about the story, until yesterday Ozzie sent me those pictures. I think it's very funny. This postman bought this G-Shock only to see the time and he liked the looks. He doesn't know it's one of the most sought Master of G models. Well check here to see the pictures!!!
A few weeks ago I met a guy in a Computer store wearing a DW-6500. A few day's later i returned to the shop to take some pics of him for my home page. Finally he's on my website. His name is Herman, here you'll find his pictures.
There is another G-Person coming up. Antonis, a student from Cyprus is a frequent member of the G-Forum, and we have a lot of e-mail and msn contact lately. While talking about the G-People section I asked him if he wanted to be taken up in my G-People section. He wants to take pictures today or tomorrow with his watches.

My time is yours. Go ahead.....
We had a very nice gig Saturday. There were not many people that came to see us, but I almost knew all the people who came. It became a very intimate party, with a lot of fun. Click here to see the photo's. You will recognize me with the DW-003TL and somewhere you might recognize Suzanne and Elisabeth.
Yes...
I won a large G-Shock banner in the U.S. It will take some time to get here, but I'm curious to see it in real. It's a different banner than the one I got. This one is I believe made of vinyl.
Very good. Proceed....
Today I received a MTG-930. I already have the Takahara version, but this one is one to wear. I'm serious in doubt what I will buy next... I wanted to buy two Gaussman's and a Triple Eyed Devil from a known eBay seller for months now, but Ozzie Japan pointed me at a very special Frogman on auction...
Can you be more specific?
Yesterday I bought the movie "THX 1138", by George Lucas. I watched it with my friend Bleephead. After more than 30 years, this is still 85 minutes of ear and eye candy.

You are a true believer. Blessings of the state, blessings of the masses. Thou art a subject of the divine. Created in the image of man, by the masses, for the masses. Let us be thankful we have an occupation to fill. Work hard; increase production; prevent accidents, and be happy.

More than a month ago I got an army green DW-069 with a negative display. It has become a favorite watch to wear on daily basis. I have worn it a lot, but I didn't make time to make pics of it. Finally it's on the site.
Thursday I got the MTG-930DHSV, the special ltd. ed. version of Hamburger S.V. It was new in box and was still in it's protective adhesive plastic. I decided not to remove it and to keep this watch this way. I found another not too expensive normal MTG-930D. This will be the one that I will wear soon.
My Generals Alias is Barbarella at the moment. Another player came up with the name Duran Duran. Guess he knows his movies well. I bought a very rare album (blue vinyl) with an awesome cover. There is a huge picture of Barbarella when you fold open the cover.
This Saturday my band will play in my hometown for the first time in many years. We didn't practice yet, but I think everything will go as two weeks ago.

I have a new Graphic card now. I got a very nice mail from a G-Peopleland fan offering me his spare graphic card, but at the time I read it I already had a new card. It's a Asus ATI 9600XT/TD whatever that may mean, it is strong enough to serve me. I have tried a few games Generals, and it holds O.K.
When I was in the Computer Store, my eyes fell on the arm of one of the employees. He didn't just wore a G-Shock. No, he wore a vintage DW-6500 Skyforce. I think I never saw someone wearing one of these. I told him about my website and he said it was O.K. to take pictures of him for the G-People Section. So if my computer crashes again.....
Talking about the G-People section.... A few weeks ago I received a very nice mail from a guy, Maxime, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He bought himself a blue G-3011, just like mine, on a outlet website of a local department store. He made two pictures for me for the G-People Section. Maybe he will make some pictures in the snow for me. Thanks Maxime!

This week our country was covered with loads of snow. In the north fell 55cm, which was a new record since 1971. We had to do it with 5 to 10 cm. Although some traveling problems, my friend Bleephead slide with his car into a lamppost, it was great fun for Bram. I took him to my Parents suburb. There are a lot of small hills there, where children (like I did 30 years ago) sledged down. Bram had great fun. I hope for him that there will fall snow every year, because he had quiet an experience.

I Made a little mistake with sending the money for this watch to the seller. Due to the security of my on-line banking site I accidentally paid twice for this watch. Fortunately the seller is very friendly and had even before I could contacted him, written me he will sent me back the double payment soon. I can use that badly now to buy a new Video card...
Yesterday Thijs collected his brand new DW-6900, that I bought for him from one of my favorite eBay-Sellers, Bondra in Las Vegas. I have bought many basic G-Shock's and Baby-G's from Jason and Jaqueline in the past for myself and a lot of G-People. Thijs gave me his old DW-610. It has a cracked bezel and one of the watchbands has broken off. Maybe I might find a new watchband for it, although it is a unique watchband, probably made for this model only. I don't think I will find a spare bezel for it.
At the beginning of the week I got a large box full of G-Shock Goodies. It contained 2 Baby-G Handbags (no, I'm not going to use it myself), two Baby-G T-Shirts size Small (no I'm not going to look like a sausage), about 4 Baby-G display stands for the new Square line. It also contained a new model G-Shock Cap (Awesome), Baby-G Money containers, coins for supermarket trolleys and G-shock pins. Of course it also contained the G-Shock sweatband sets, that I won on eBay. Many thanks for your service Dieter!!! You have made me very happy (my girlfriend Eva was not so amused: "Where are you going to put all that stuff").
Today my sister Mea celebrates her birthday. Congratulations sis!

I saw a very nice young G-Girl sitting behind a computer today. Her name is Stella and looks very sturdy. In fact she is very nice. She let me take some very nice photo's of her. She was hesitating o the picture where she lies on a large table in the ß-Lab. Funny detail, one of Dena's sisters was also present at the shoot. Stella is still a young pupil, so I hope to take a lot of pictures of her in the next years...

Fhew, I barely survived this day. I was very tired when I woke up this morning because yesterday we had an open doors day at our school. I started yesterday 8.30 a.m. working, and I came home 10.15 p.m..
This afternoon a big package arrived. It was holding my new Big shop window Baby-G. There were a few pupils around, who didn't believe that the package contained a watch, so I packed it out in front of them.
First I asked to pose with this jumbo sized Baby, but she had too much homework to make in the library for the next hour, so she couldn't. Moments later one of the pupils, Noortje, who helped me unpack it, came by and volunteered instant to hold the Baby-G for me. As a surprise Anne dropped in at the end of the hour, just out of curiosity. Unfortunately for her, I already had taken pictures. Next time more luck....
The preparations for our next gig are almost done. I have let the organization arrange a big Beamer, so we will play with a big Video show, done by our VJ Bernard Vercouteren van den Berge. I just have dyed my hair devilish red (again....). I'm going to hit the showers now, so I can rehearse the set for about the last time. If you are in the Neighbourhood of Vlissingen (Flushing), come and see our show, Saturday at "Het Arsenaal". It will be BIG!

Everything at my job is very busy now. Tuesday we've got our open doors day of the school, so I'm arranging a lot supplies for the experiments, along with the regular experiments and cleaning up my labs.
Today I got a dark olive green DW-069. It is about the same model as the "Street Arts". This one has a red dragon on the watchband adapter. It seems not much worn, the watchband is still in good shape. I have to take some pics of it, so I can add it. No idea what the name is of this model, but I'm trying to find out.
The package was very funny btw. It was Packed extremely shock proof in a kind of synthetic cotton.
Yesterday evening I heard the gig on Saturday February 26th has a go! I saw we are the closing act of a benefit festival, so that can be a great gig! Well, I have to repair the cat first and then off to bed, tomorrow's another busy day.

My G-Shock watchbands, that I ordered last week at Tiktox, arrived today. I'm very pleased about the services. I even got some spare Watchband adapters for double Velcro watchbands. My abused yellow Raysman now have the watchband of my most other used yellow Raysman, which now has a brand new one. Maybe I will post pictures of my updated watches, but now I have to work a lot for the Open Doors Day of my school.

I won two funny G-Shock items on eBay this weekend. The first item was a lot of G_Shock Sweatbands. Never seen them before. I contacted the seller and he told me he had a lot of Baby-G and G-Shock items. He is for business in Italy, but he returns home Thursday. He promised me to contact me, so we can arrange things. I'm very exited about it.
The second G-Item is a Big Baby-G for display use. It has a illuminating display, just like my very Big G-Shock. I was shocked about the shipping price, which was 1,5 times the bid I placed (and it wasn't really cheap). The seller revealed the mystery. The watch weighs more than 5 kilo's! Oooops...

I also found a nice looking Yellow Fever T-Shirt. I couldn't resist and bought it immediately. I have a performance with the band in a few weeks. Nice shirt to wear... I don't like to be pixilated too....

I added a new G-Person. It is Renske, a little girl who jumped in front of my camera a week ago with a funny hat and big brown eyes... I never had seen her before, although she must be walking around in school for 5 years. Today she just walked by, when I was adjusting the lights for the Cultural evening, tonight at our school. She had those adorable little red devil horns in her hair, so I wanted her for the website of course. Check out the photo's of her with my GL-100V.
Paul and I found probably out why people using another browser cannot see my website. FrontPage does make .gif files that show the text, but these files are somewhere hidden invisible. Only Internet Explorer can open them, but if you want to open those .gif's you can't find them anywhere, although they are in the HTML code.
Well, that's it for today. I'm going to eat "Beef Shanghai" soon, which is one of my favorite dishes. Bon Apatite!

First a little message from Bram, who took over the computer when I was in the kitchen:" ;;;nnn".
I finally got the yellow Raysman that I won four weeks ago. The description (in German) told that the watch was heavily used and that the band was dirty. I won it for €19,-, so I expected the worst. Indeed, the watchband was very sticky and the middle part of the watchband has come loose. There was a lot of dirt on the back, but the case looked not so bad. The description told me there was a cut near the light button, but it's is more a barely visible scratch. Washing the Raysman thoroughly made me clear the case was still in a good condition. How I tried to clean the watchband, it still feels creasy and sticky. This brought me on an idea:
More than a year ago I got a White Raysman with a torn watchband and a Orange DW-9550 BPM. Recently I got the Gio Estevez version of the 21st C.B. series with a damaged watchband. I found out that Tiktox (formerly known as JK Supllies) in the U.K. had replacement watchbands for these models, so I contacted them. I got a mail and now I have ordered the four watchbands. I also get a some conversion sets, to convert models with normal watchbands into a double Velcro version.
Tomorrow I will visit with some colleagues a big chemical factory (Dow Chemical) in Terneuzen. We will try to find out if we can set up a educational program together.
Thursday I will assist at a rehearsal of a cultural evening, which finds place Friday evening, so I will not be at home very much this week.

Sunday, February 6th 2005
I won another DW-069. It seems to be an olive green version with a negative display. I'm wearing the cream colored DW-069 I received Friday. It's a nice watch, looks like the one that is going to accompany me on the mountain bike this season.
Friday old students of my school were giving information of their studies. I knew Karen and Thijs would come, but for the first time in almost two years I saw my very first G-Person, Barbara! She was there with her good friend Saskia, who told me a lot about her study Communication. The bezel of Thijs his DW-610 is worn out, so he asked me to look out to a new, not to big G-Shock. I told him that I would look out for a DW-6900 or a G-2300 or him.
I have experimented a little bit with Dream weaver, but the results were not impressive. I want a website looking just like this one, with semi transparent text boxes and the menu on each page, but after trying some hours, I couldn't manage to get it the way I want it. It's a pity, because I like to build a website that is viewable for everyone.

Tuesday, February 1st 2005

This weekend the yearly Provincial Pop Prizes were celebrated with a lot of pop music in Flushing (Vlissingen). As an editor of our provincial pop music magazine I was also present, of course. The rest of my band stayed home for different reasons, so I was alone with Karen. She normally goes to classical concerts, but she had a great time. She plays trumpet in four different orchestra's. It became a night of G-People. Karen still is a wannabe G-People, but soon after the first band started Jolien jumped on my back. Soon after that I saw Alex wearing his Hawaiian Lovers Collection G-Shock. When one of the last bands, Forcefeed, was about to enter the stage, I saw Jeroen walking on the stage. When I asked what he did there backstage, he told me he was their technician. He also told me his band, Uppercut, is about to release a new CD. He also maybe has a 7" vinyl for me. I promised him to look out for a new same model G-Shock as he is wearing now.

After the festival, Karen and I went for a drink to Middelburg. It's always hard to park your car in the weekends, so when I saw a spot to park, I tried 4 times to fit my car into the hole. Karen had a great time, observing how I every time didn't manage to fit the car in that spot. Every attempt I tried to make was accompanied with more laughter than the attempt before... Finally I decide to park my car on a illegal spot, while Karen told me how good men can park cars... Well, I guess I'm not such man.
When we walked into the centre, I spotted Thijs. He went for several months to Australia one and a half year ago, and it was the first time I saw him after he came back. He still had his small DW-610. We ended up in my favorite pub "De Mug". In the back I saw Suzanne and a lot of other people I know. It became a long pleasant evening. What do you think of my HUSTLER Shirt. It's called Chocolate Brown Sexy Girl. The picture was taken by Jolien, who has a great fascination for photography.

I got a mail from the guy I bought a DW-069 from. I sent him the money by Paypal, but he didn't receive it yet on his bank account. I'm afraid this is going to be a long wait. I also won another DW-069 auction, but I didn't received e-mails from the seller yet. The Yellow Raysman should also be here right now, so everything is not going so smooth... Well, I keep my fingers crossed for a happy ending. In the meantime my I.C.E.R.C. Gulfman arrived safely with a nice present, a G-Shock storage soft case from 1983. Since now I have two, I think I'm going to wear one soon. First I have to go to my monthly beer tasting evening. Don't worry about me, I will have a great time tonight;-) Cheers!!!

For those who also visit the W.U.S. G-Forum, Watch-U-Seek has finally a new server. I tried to post a message, but the old server is slower then the slowest snail I've ever seen. The site (not this site) will be down from midnight local time (23.00 GMT).
Not much news further. I'm off to the stutter course for parents.

Wednesday, January 26th 2005
The first of three yellow G-Shock's arrived today. It's the Men In Yellow Gaussman. It looks near mint to new to me, so $100,- was a really good price. Bad thing was the € 32,10 taxes. The Raysman and Gulfman are still on their way.

Saturday, January 22nd 2005
Weekend again. What a week. Tuesday I got a phone call, if my band would contribute on a benefit concert for a project in Sri Lanka on February 26th. After some time thinking, I said yes, but this means we had to build up one of our studio's very fast. The room of Bleep's studio wasn't finished yet, the floor will be finished on February 6th, so the we build up my studio yesterday. Finally I got the chance to try out my Electribe ER1 in a studio set up. It resulted in a great first recording, with only about the half of the equipment installed. The Electribe synchronized better that any other drum machine that I have. Now almost everything is connected now, only the Mother Computer (sequencer) and a new Emu Vintage Keys will be added Monday. I'm curious what Bleep thinks of my first recordings... They were real fat!
In the mean time I won three G-Shock auctions. First I won a used yellow Raysman, personally I think it's one of the best looking G-Shock's ever (O.K. the red "Guardian Angels" version looks even better, but I have never seen that for sale, and if it would, it won't probably affordable).
The second is a Yellow I.C.E.R.C. Gulfman from my mate Elliot in Japan. Although I completely forgot about the auction, I did win it with a reasonable low bid. I already had one, so one is going to be to wear.
The third one is a cream colored DW-069 with double watchband. I think this is also the second. The Double Velcro DW-069 (same model as the legendary Triple Eyed Devil DW-6900) is also one of my favorites. I'm even wearing a DW-069 while I write this. It's the Customized Leather Wide Cuff G.
I removed a guestbook entry from a anonymous person who clamed that he had seen 10 y.o. French children write better English then me. That's why I became a chemical scientist and not a linguist... Ha Ha. Well, I hope that my week English is not a reason for you to stop reading my news entries anymore. Of course I like entries in my guestbook, so if you haven't signed it yet....
Well, I'm off line now. I'm going to enjoy a good beer. I won't have much time to write in the next few weeks. I have to prepare the live set for my band.

A cold but sunny day in G-Peopleland. Bram is finally allowed to go outside. Although it's almost freezing cold I think I'll take him out to the beach this afternoon. It's too cold to go out on my mountain bike, since I still don't have winter bikers clothing.
The seller I bought the Men In Yellow Mudman from, offered me a slightly worn Men In Yellow Gaussman too for a reasonable price. The buyer who bought it first, didn't come up with the money, so I got it for the price of my original bid. Although I already have one I decided to buy it, so I can wear this one.
I also unpacked one of the G-Shock "Shock the World" Wheel Packages. check out the pictures I made of it. It was well pressed together. It wasn't easy to get it loose. It was very wrinkled, so I made it very wet. It's now hanging to dry, so I can where it someday.
I also made the page for the G-701D-4AVDR. It has a tomato red dial, that matches my hair. Check out the last picture on the page, it matches my hair. Thanks Coen for making the picture.

Thursday, January 13th 2005
I made a page for my M.I.Y. Mudman. I'm getting used to it's strange Yellow grey accents and I even begin to like it. It's enormous and Yellow, but what else would you expect...
I also got a new G-Shock shirt in. It is packed very small in a kind of wheel. I didn't pack it out, but I'm very curious how it looks like when I have unpacked it. Talking about T-Shirts, I also got my 5 Hook Ups Shirts. They are great.
I also took a lot of pictures of my red G-701D, but I didn't have time to put it on the website yet... Stay Tuned for More

Wednesday, January 12th 2005
Bram has survived his operation in the Hospital well. After a few hours of pain, you now can't hardly notice he has been to the hospital today, so he's doing well. In the mean time I'm totally addicted to playing Generals Zero Hour on-line. I'm not very good, but I'm getting better.
Received my red G-701D yesterday. It's great. I like it and I'm already wearing it too.

I also got my M.I.Y. Mudman. I like Yellow G-Shock's, but the grey accents is not the color that has my preferences. Nevertheless it's a great addition to my Collection!

Saturday, January 8th 2005
Happy New Year everybody. I hope you also visit my site regularly and follow my new adventures in G from time to time this year. The last weeks I'm into playing Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour, so I had not much time to write some news.
I have taken my new bike for a test drive and it rides perfect. This in contrary to our car. When I drove home early this evening all lights and the radio jumped out suddenly. Don't know what's wrong, but I needed the light badly on the road...
I have bought 2 G-Shock's lately. The first one in a G-700D, like my Legendary Pride, but then with a red dial. The other one is a DW-8400Y Men In Yellow Mudman. On pictures it looks like the ugliest of the M.I.Y. series, but maybe in real it looks good.
I also bought 3 white G-Shock T-Shirts, packed in a wheel shaped box. I'm very curious how they look in real, because the pictures showed not much detail.
I also won an auction of 5(!) Hook Ups shirts. My favorite Nurse shirt is among them . Maybe I have the shirt before Wednesday the 12th. My son Bram has to go to the hospital where they place tubes in his ears and probably they remove his nose tonsil too. The Nurse displayed here is not the actual nurse, but this one (Mitsuki) is also great!
