Sunday June 25th 2006

It was a nice day for a ride through the dunes today. It was raining a bit, but that just kept people from the path we drove on. It was a long time ago I had time for a nice ride, so I was happy to feel the wind in my face.

I rebuild the Mudman section and made up a page for the new Mudman models. Of course you can find there my new Mudman too. I wore it all day. Unfortunately the underground was to dry (it just started raining), so there wasn't much mud to find. It would be a great shot I guess, a Mudman covered with mud...

Joost sent me a mail with screenshots of "Hacker" and "Hacker 3". I will add them later in my Movie section. I have uploaded them to W.U.S. already.

Big news (well, for me that is).  Posted on the 22nd and arrived today, straight from Oita, Japan, today arrived the G-9000 Mudman. It's awesome. Now I really understand the fuzz about this model. Three batches have been sold out in Japan since it's release earlier this month. I had a children's party today, but I have already dozens of pictures and worked for a web page for it. I believe it will appear tomorrow. Here's a little teaser....

I received three packages today. Actually two of them I have bought to wear. It's a second Timezoner and a second turquoise GL-7500.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Probably you have seen the black box on the left... It holds my second MR-G this month. It's the MRG-200TBN-9, a MR-G model dedicated to NYC music club the "Knitting Factory" . Check out the great pictures. Thanks Ozzie!

Another nice watch that came in last week from HB Wathces. It is the G-8000B-4VCR Back Flipper. A nice black model with a very special orange mirror face. I have to make up a page for the customized G-Cool GT-001 by Angelo, that came in last week too.

The new Mudman versions (G-9000 and GW-9000) have been released in Japan. At the moment the third batch of the G-9000 model has been sold out there, while the US release is planned end July and the European in August. I couldn't resist and ordered the white grey version. I will go for the GW-9000 when I have recovered from the big financial drain of those two MR-G's.

I know Chris Moy from the beginning of the G-Shock forum on WatchUSeek. He had a sudden urge to modify his G-2300 two weeks ago and he consulted me on where to buy polarizing filters. Actually no need to ask me, because Chris found two sources before I could spell the word Polarizer. Although I didn't expect too much of his experiments, he sent me great detailed pictures of his attempt with the permission to publish it on my website. Actually he can't view this page unfortunately. Last Sunday he married his girlfriend, where he spend the past 17 years of his life with. At the moment he is on Honeymoon in Barcelona, Spain. Congratulations Chris!!!

I also got a my Portion Control Archive vinyl collection box. I was a huge fan of Portion Control in the 80's and have several vinyl of them. The LP "Step Forward" has been played grey in the past, so this Archive is a great addition to my music collection.

Tomorrow Derrick May and Stacey Pullen will play in Cafe d'Anvers all night long. I plan to be there, since I like Stacey Pullen' s live sets (heard him play three years ago) and Derrick May is of course an Icon. Without him, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins and Blake Baxter in my opinion modern dance music had not been what it now is.

Friday June 16th 2006

It's been quiet a long time since the last update. Not that nothing happened. First of all my guestbook have been spammed a lot lately. I had to remove daily messages about NYC condo's for sale, medicine or anal dildo's. I decided to make my automated guestbook entry off line. In stead of that I placed a message to sent me the message by mail. I hope that this works and if I put up the automated entries on-line again those problems will be over.

So what happened the passed weeks... We had suddenly very good weather last week, so I have been out on the bike much. Probably that was the most important reason not to update the site. As for G-Shock's, there have been received quiet a few and pages for a lot of them are already made the past few days.

I actually don’t know where to start, but I guess Michael's MSG Distributors  Pininfarina G-Cool came in first. What a beauty in real. I felt like 5 years ago when I saw this model in a jeweller in Antwerp. The floating case hanging on throttle cables looks amazing good.

I bought again two watches of Adan's G-Stock. Both models were long on my wanted list. The first one is a DW-004AS-2. This model was released November 1998 to promote the Triple Crown of Surfing on the North Shore of Oahu. The second one is a very rare DW-620 LONDON. It was released in December 1994. It is a very small G-Shock and could been seen as a predecessor of the Baby-G series. Later, in May 1995 this model was released in different versions as Baby-G with the model number BG-120. The text LONDON is printed on those models, but are absent on the DW-620.

Then came in a dark green (almost black) GW-056. I got it from Tiktox. It's remarkable thin, only 11mm. According to Casio’s press release November 2005 it's with 18% off the thickness of the GW-5600, the thinnest wave receiving solar watch ever.

My best newest G-Shock that I put up is a special edition MRG-121T. It was designed specially for the 10th Anniversary of the "Straight No Chaser" magazine. The MRG-121 design is one of my most loved G-Shock, but this Titanium version has not a metallic dial, but it's a very special shade of green. It somehow reminds me to the colour of train wagons in the early steam era. I saw Ozzie had it on auction. It goes in my history as the highest bid I have to pay ever on a G-Shock, but it's worth every cent of it. I wish these MR-G's were a bit cheaper (sigh).

I also took pictures of my Muscle Time, GQ-200. I read the story behind this huge Shockproof alarm clock. When Team Tough back in 1982 or 1983 presented their first G-Shock prototype, they were sent back to the drawing tables. It resulted to the legendary DW-5000. Team Tough wanted the first prototype to live on. The looks of the case of their first prototype returned on this alarm clock. I don't know if it's true, but there are rumours that there were only made a few of them and the project never left the prototype stadium, in other words, it's never been for sale officially! This would explain why, after many years of searching, I finally found one. I hope to make up a page dedicated to my Muscle Time.

So, what's coming up. I received today a G-Cool modified by the master of modifying, Angelo. Actually I thought I bought a regular G-Cool with negative display, so I was surprised to get a mail from Spain. In stead of the green background this version has an amber background.

Chris Moy has made his first negative display modification on his G-2300 after reading my article about negative displays in my G-Stories section. Actually he wanted to see if my modification on the calculator was easy to achieve on a G-Shock. He had made a nice series of pictures of it and I have asked him if I could use them for a special section in my G-Stories.

I bought a black G-8000 with an orange face. Now I only need the basic version.

I also bought a 2nd turquoise GL-7500 to wear (I'm curious how that suits my wrist) and a second DW-5600D Timezoner. I'm wearing my G-5600 of the L.X series, which fits very comfortable. I love it's Alpha Industries "Bomber Jacked" look when it's off and it's stealth looks when on.

The latest G-Shock that's coming up I will keep up as a surprise. I only will tell that I was lurking for it for a longer time and it suddenly popped up on eBay. The Dutch Tax people were very nice to me. Did I have to pay quiet some money last year, but this year I got rather a big amount back. Now I could afford myself this awesome looking G-Shock.

I hope I will have more time to update the website in the future. It took me 2 days to update the website. Till soon.

\------------------------------

Thursday May 25th 2006,

It's Ascension day, or as my friend DJ Rockstar (Rogier) once freely translated it "Jesus flies to Heaven Day. Anyway, I have two extra free days added to my weekend.  I have actually behind the scenes been working on a lot of new pages and updated several others. Actually I don't know where to begin, but I will try, with keeping in mind I will probably forget to mention pages I have made...

I updated David R's page with new photo's. He has a lot of humor, which can be seen in the new pictures with two girlfriends and his dog searching for the right direction.

I made page for my old ARMY mate Jan A. I met him two weeks ago on a very sunny terrace, wearing a Dragon series DW-056. The temperatures were much better then, around 25ºC. At the moment the weather here is not nice. It's been raining about the whole week and the predictions are not bringing any good news. The temperatures are around 15ºC now...

Next there is a new page of Isa. She is a modest student, but I noticed her actually by wearing a great Busy Works (by A Bathing Ape) shirt.

Another international contribution in the G-People section is Gabe, better known as Versionpardner.  Gabe is an old skate boarder who likes old English punk- and hip hop music. He loves Bating Ape clothing and owns several shirts and hooded sweaters. He has several G-Shock's, which he shows on his page.

A few weeks ago Thian Wong, an English Teacher in Japan donated a Pininfarina G-Cool model to G-Peopleland. I was very surprised and happy with the gift. I wanted to have the Pininfarina model from the time I saw it for the first time, around 5 years ago in Belgium. I was fascinated by the looks, specially by the metal cables keeping the case in place. It's price tag was sky high for me. I'm happy to announce that the white Pininfarina page is now on-line. Thanks Thian!

Thian made me also decide to get myself a black Pininfarina version. I found one at Michael's MSG Distributors. It was a long time I ordered a G-Shock at him, but I'm glad he's still as nice and his service is still great as it was a few years ago. I'm glad lot of collectors buy from him now.

Yesterday I received the bad news Mr. Seiya San is very ill. His services are temporarily down. I hope he will recover soon. Last week I received a watch from him. It was the FIFA 2006 in Brazilian yellow and green colors. I was thinking of ordering a second one, but I have to wait for a while probably.

I also got a great white/caramel brown DW-004 G-Lide from Adan's G-Stock. I bought it for a great price. I already bought two other models from his website, a DW-004 of the Triple Crown series and a rare DW-620 London, released December 1994. They were sent out yesterday, so I think they will arrive around next week.

Well, let's go back to Thian. While browsing my pages he saw the great yellow AW-510 I have. He found one in a Japanese shop too and made great photo's of it, making me feel like an absolute noob. I asked permission to place his pics near mine on the website, which was an honor for him. I have added them in a special page linked from the original AW-510 page.

Ozzie sent me a gift a few weeks ago. It's the red black Lucky Strike watch. The Lucky Strike logo was designed by the famous industrial designer Raymond Loewy, who was also responsible for the Coca Cola Logo and Greyhound busses. He sent the watch to me because he considers me a good friend and would like me to have this great red black model, since he knows that is my favorite color combination.

The last thing I made was a section of the G-Shock magazines I use to determine models and find out release dates and other versions of a model. I now own 4 magazines, that are great reference to me.

I hope to have the three G-Shock's that are on the road soon. I can add them, together with my CG-200 Muscle Time, the shockproof alarm clock that is G-Shock related.

\------------------------------

Thursday May 18th 2006,

Today, 26 years ago Ian Curtis died by hanging himself in the kitchen at age of 23.

I received another old 1997 G-Shock catalogue today, after I got another one last week. It looks like 1997 was a remarkable year for G-Shock. A lot of them were written about that time. I think I must add them to my promotional items corner.

A lot of work lies ahead... I bought a white DW-004 at ADAN's G-Stock. Highly recommendable service. The watch battery was replaced and it was checked for 200m water resistance. Good work ADAN and a nice watch too!

I also got a GQ-200 Muscle Time, a big shock proof alarm clock that looks like a bomb! It was actually much bigger than I though it was and very hard to find. I was trying to find one for over two or three years now, so I'm very happy to have this BIGGEST G of all in my collection finally.

I took today also pictures of one of my modest student Isa. She wears a DW-6100 Thermometer with a black dial. Even better, she wears a shirt of Busy Works, the place where a Bathing Ape residents! So with pages for Gabe and Jan I have a lot of work to do here....

\------------------------------

Monday May 15th,

It was a heavy weekend here. I have been contacted by several people who wanted to discuss the matter of Friday's news and I have modified the text to come closer to the truth. Some call it censoring, others clean up... Talking of which...where is this message gone and from whom would it have been? Probably "Cleaned up", to come closer to the truth... In the mean time I keep in contact with the emergency team, which do a great job. I should actually stayed away from the screen for a while, but it's hard, since I work and live environments filled with computers and get dozens of mails and private messages of worried people.

It was Morthers Day last Sunday. Due to all the fuzz I had almost forgotten it, but Bram reminded me at 6.30am. Eva got a lot of presents, but Bram's "Pimp Your Mom" apron was the greatest hit. Eva is wearing it now at the moment I'm typing this.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

One of them was from Bob, the father of Joella and also a G-Shock collector. He finally got a G-Shock book too. He was thinking about visiting me, since the route to my place is a great one to ride with a motorcycle. Actually I had a spare G-Shock book for him, just in case he was visiting me. Bob lives near The Hague and has two friends collecting G-Shock's too. I believe they are one of Mr. Seiya San's clients.

The DW-6900K arrived Saturday. According to a '97 G-Shock Catalogue, that I got too recently, it's the DW-6900K-8CT, launched March '96. It's great, although the bezel and watchband are more yellowish than the original picture. Probably discolored since it's 10 years old. The buttons and buckle are gold tone, which actually match the watch better in my opinion. Here's a pic I found on the web. Here it's still white.

Friday I met my old ARMY mate Jan (Ambulance driver) on a very sunny terrace. He was wearing a G-Shock. Not just a G-Shock, but an Achamoth. It's only the second time I saw someone wearing that G and the last time I didn't even have one. He got it from his brother who is sent as a safety guard to all kind of places. I took a picture and I will adding it, along with Gabe, in my G-People section soon.

I hope that I soon will only be writing G-Shock news, or as would Jack that build the house would have said: G-Shock news and only G-Shock news.

Friday May 12th,

The recent development on the G-Shock forum on W.U.S. made me decide to turn the page into mourning mood. Some guys (mainly members who visit the right winged gun forum) have bulled a good decent friend and member away. As top of the bill they posted their "great American Dream" icon (a Glock next to a Wademan, lie about in the garden of one of their members members). The same time Europe (probably except for England I guess) is shocked by a racial killing of two women and a 2 year old child by a guy, who has connections with the conservative national party. I'm not against the law permitting to have and to use weapons in certain countries, but I am against the glorifying of them.

edit

Sorry, I linked the picture on my news. well you find it here. Edit: with right winged I do not mean extreme right winged, but conservative and/or irrespective to other cultures.

"God Bless America!" (Consolidated, 1988, USA)

This whole situation lead me of the real topic...  I got a DW-002 with the world famous Raymond Loewy "Lucky Strike" Logo (also known of the Coca Cola bottle and the Greyhound bus design). It was a gift as a friend from Ozzie. Also I finally got a G-Cool designed by Pinifarina, which was a generous gift of Thian from Japan to the website. Last but not least, today I received another package from Japan. It was the DW-6900 designed for the 2006 FIFA World Cup of Football from Seiya in Japan, that I ordered 2 days ago!!!! He gave me the new G-Shock magazine as a free gift extra. What a marvelous guy! Thanks Ozzie, Thanks Thian and Thanks Mr Seiya san!!!

I'm also waiting on a nice I.C.E.R.C. DW-6900 (sorry Madmacs, I actually had a low max on that one and had no hard feelings if you had won) and bought a Muscle Time alarm clock, which is inspired on the G-Shock design. Well, I'm off now. I must get ready for a wedding party. It's from a great friend, but due to the recent situation, my mind is completely on a different place. I'm glad I had some good help of Obie and Timothy. I hope to have some better news later.......

Sunday April 30th,

Yesterday we celebrated Queens day, one day earlier than normal, because April 30th is this year on a Sunday. We went into the city to have a "few" drinks and I got an invitation to spin some records in the near future. I let a shop make a unique Queens day shirt for next year. I'm not revealing the text, but it cheered up a lot of people in De Mug when I showed it over the heads of people...

Today my Garmin received some rain water during a trip on my mountain bike. It's very cold outside, but after Tuesday the temperatures are going to ride over 20ºC. My sister Thea is staying with her family on a camping on a one hour drive from here, so I will probably visit her later this week. I hope there are some nice bike routes in that area.

Finally I finished the three pages of my turquoise GL-7500, basic black G-7510 and white/yellow BGM-100 G'MIX. Take a look and enjoy!

------------------------------

Friday April 28th,

I've been very busy lately with all kinds of activities. The weather is better for biking, so I have been on the bike a lot. Yesterday I received my Garmin Legend, a GPS for runners and biking. I'm trying to find out how to get a track-recording out of it. If I have figured out that, I'm very happy.

I made a lot of pictures of my GL-7500, my G-7510 and a Baby-G BGM-100, but in stead of making pages of those models I made two new G-People pages.

First is Angelo from Spain. He is the W.I.S. of MR-G models and customizing G-Shock's. He's a great friendly guy with a lot of humor. His latest developments are Hydro-G's and he started customizing EL backlights again.

The second  is Timothy from Timmins, Ontario, Canada. He collects not only G-Shock's, but also collects Sinn divers watches. Timothy has a wide range of interests and his conversations are always fun and informative. He owns a 1974 Pontiac Firebird which is an awesome looking car. Well, I'm off for a nice round around the Island. Cheers!

Saturday April 15th,

I went to a funeral yesterday morning, with Eva and my brother Paul. The father of my father's brother's wife (can you follow me?) died suddenly a few days ago at the age of 85. My brother reminded me that he would take pictures of a girl that worked on his office. He has said that many times before, so I though he would forget it again, but according to the wrist shot, he took the pictures hardly an hour after he was back at the office. Her name is Suzanne. Click on her picture to see her page.

At the end of the afternoon the doorbell rang. Bram had a friend playing here, so I thought it was his mother, but surprisingly it was the parcel service. I had to fill in a load of customs papers a few days ago. Luckily I didn't have to pay taxes on those packages. Actually the total worth was just above the tax level, but the customs were nice to me. It were the turquoise GL-7500 and the basic G-7510. Nice combo.

Good Friday April 14th 2006

Although I made the first attempt to make a website on April 7th, G-Peopleland was officially registrated on April 14th 2003. In fact Paul D. threw up a ball and I made up the name a few hours later (g-people was actually my first choice, but that name was already taken). Although the first few days it was a redirected website, I decided within a week to host it (banner less) at Direct NIC. In the beginning I was happy with 10 visitors a day, but at the moment we have around 100 visitors from around the world visiting G-Peopleland a day, causing around 3.5 Gb traffic a month. I hope the costs of my website will be a bit in hand in the future, because increasing traffic means more money out of my pocket (I'm hardly sponsored, but I like to be independent too). For now...G-Peopleland celebrates it's 3rd Anniversary! Cheers!!!

Eva is out this weekend to London. Bram will go to his grandma, so I have the house for myself this Easter Weekend. Probably a weekend with too many beers.

My G-7501 and GL-7500 are hold up in customs. I had to fill in a load of papers. Unfortunately the total worth of shipment and the watches were in both cases just above the level for free import. Damn, U guess a postman will ring soon with two nice bills, probably as high as the total price I paid for them shipped. Lets see what happens...

I got a package of Tiktox, loaded with replacement watchbands. I had a DW-8300 and a DW-8140 with a broken watchband retainer. I thought there was even a third broken retainer, but somehow I couldn't find it any more.

A few months ago I got an Adrastos. Although in good shape, the plastic buckle was smashed in the post. It came out of the envelope in very small parts. I wanted to order a new watchband for it, but couldn't find a resin version on the Tiktox website. Actually I was to lazy to call or mail him, so I ordered a leather DW-002RS watchband. I had to wait a long time, because they had to be back-ordered in Japan. Actually the resin DW-002 watchbands are available too at Tiktox.

Long story short, the Adrastos Rolling Stones conversion is awesome. I need to post pictures in my Customized corner...

On Japanese forums and bulletin boards the new G-Shock Book, released March 22nd in Japan is a hot topic, as also it is on the WatchUSeek G-Shock forum. I'm happy to know a far friend has sent me two copies of it, which will probably arrive at the end of next week I hope. I'll keep you posted. For now...Happy Easter!

Friday April 7th 2006,

I've been out with around 70 about 14-15 year old kids skiing and snowboarding. I have never been on skis before and I had a false start at the top of the hill, expecting to find the ski teacher there...not. The ski teacher was looking for me at the bottom of the hill. Long story short. The top of the hill was for the real ski cracks, so I had to go down very easy. I think I ended up scooping loads of snow at my close geographic inspections of the hill. Luckily the students cheering and encouraging me to try over and over again and in about an hour (I had a private ski instructor!) I could wonder beyond a miracle ski down without falling. The last time I went down I was more a unguided missile and accidentally crossed a Tube slope, causing an unwanted 6 meter (18 ft) flight and a landing that could have been better... Time for cola and a meat ball in the restaurant, but before the food I first has to put a bandage around a very painful wrist (I was the only First Aid person around).

Enough private life... I've been busy with 7 new pages for around three days now and I have them all on line now. I don't know where to start, but here they are:

The DW-5600D Timezoner. Ultimate stealth black basic model with a great finish of the watchband.

The G-2900 Deep Spirit. A good looking basic model. I wanted to buy this model for a long time, but there was always something different preventing me that. I got both the watches above from the same seller and it was a very good deal. Thanks to Bjorn Keizers, who attended me to the seller.

I got a bunch of Baby-G's a few weeks ago. 1 still needs new batteries, but the other 3 are now on line. It's the one that started it all, the BG-19BB-1BT of the Black Models series that I bought for Bram, the BGT-100 of the Tripper series and a red basic BG-202 version. I already had a blue version.

A few weeks ago I got also a very good deal on an analogue Giez. It was a special version, released to celebrate the last eclipse of the Millennium in 1999. It's the GS-500ME-8BT. It has a special resin band with a clasp. the resin band is a shade between grey and broken white. It looks impressive in real. It was packed in a great box too.

Well, you noticed one page is missing.... It's not of a G-Shock, but it's my second model Hawaiian ProT-Shirt. I got it second hand and it has been probably a lot of times in the washing machine, so the pictures are not always optimal, sorry.

There are still a G-7510 and a GL-7500 in the mail, which I hope will arrive soon. I also got a load of spare straps in, because I have a lot of watchband retainer loops breaking of a few month ago. It looks like all DW-8300 models had the same problem at the same time.

Thursday March, 30th 2006,

The good things…

 Image hosting by Photobucket

I forgot last weekend that the summertime started in Europe. Normally I ask Joost to help me with setting the watches on DST, but I have too many G-Shock’s. It takes 4 hours with two persons last time and personally I can’t get myself to do that again.

I have several G-Shock’s on their way. The first one is a G-7510. As far as I can see it’s a G-7500 model with metal finish. The second one is a GL-7500. It has a strange shade of aqua/blue. Normally I don’t like blue, but this shade, as far as I can see on pictures, looks very nice. I think the watches will arrive next week.

I got a message from a forum member that there was a very nice G-Shock on a national advertising site. The seller had two watches and probably the watches will arrive today or tomorrow. The first one is a DW-5600B-1AVE Time Zoner. This DW-5600 version has a broad watchband with an orange finish on the inside. The second one is a G-2900. I thought it was a black version, but I’m afraid now it’s the blue version… The last one is packed in a new G-Shock can, a package that I still don’t have yet, but was lurking for, for a long time.

The best thing…

Yesterday it was the 4th total eclipse. In our country it was just partial. I totally forgot about it, due to the first mentioned attention suckers, but when I finally returned home I found the “Final Eclipse of the Millennium” Giez. I wish I had time to take pictures of it. Well, maybe later…

The Funniest thing....

I found Stella this afternoon. I had my new Millennium Giez with me and she posed for me showing the watch and her puss. Well, pictures later. I don't feel like working on it right now.

UPDATE:

I received the DW-5600B and G-2900 today. The watches are both looking great and the metal G-Shock tin is also fantastic, although it probably originally belonged to a G-8000-4VER (who cares).

Thursday March 23rd,

It's 7:15 in the morning and I still lying in my bed with my PDA. The last week it's very busy here, so I frankly had no time to write some news. I had to prepare practical exams, so I made very long days. Tuesday I even worked until 20:30! Yesterday everything was ready early in the afternoon, so I took the time to cycle with Bram (on his own bike) to my parents, who returned from a 5 month holiday to Indonesia.

Sunday I went with friends to mountain bike in Essen, Belgium. It was great fun. Jack thought he was riding through a little mud pool, but he ended to his knees in the mud. Good thing he rode a little ahead so Bleephead and II could take the Chicken path.

Tuesday I got "Notebook" from Kraftwerk, a luxurious box with a book, a 2DVD and a 2CD of the 2004 live tour. When I observed it closely, it was the German version, which is hard to get outside Germany.

This weekend I won an auction of a Giez Millennium model. It has the case of the older Giez series, but it has the same module as the MRG-121. It seems to have a tight 7" watchband, so I'm curious it will fit my 7" wrists. Else it's a great addition to my collection.

Well, I'm getting out of bed now and hit the shower. Some students will be sweating this afternoon on the exams....

Saturday March 11th, 2006

It was a very busy week at my work, so bit slow updating G-Peopleland news... A pity because many nice items came in.

Wednesday was a big day. First of all 4 Baby-G's, all brand new with tags, straight from Slovenia. There are three real beauties between them. First is a Baby-G G-Mix that unfortunately for me needs to be revived with new batteries. It has a special EL-light design. I couldn't see it right, but I think it is a butterfly or a Hawaiian flower. The second one is a Baby-G Tripper. It has very funny animations when changing function or when turn on the EL-backlight. The best of the three beauties is an analogue BG-19BB of the "Black Model Series". I bought this one first. It's a gift for Bram, because he is already trying to read time on clocks with hands.

Also on Wednesday I received a DW-9550 G-Mix in a crème/brown scheme. Regarding to the non-western colours this is probably a JP only model.

Another package was on top of the pile when I got home. It contained a Hawaiian Pro T-Shirt. No idea from what year, worn and washed a lot, but the print is in very good condition.

Actual the courier had also a fourth package, but it had a tax-bill on it of €31,-... Eva didn't have that much money in her wallet, so he returned Thursday with the crown of all packages this week....my second Black Helios Frogman. It hasn't been from my wrist since!

I also lay an eye on an vinyl album recorded by the Wibbley Brothers in 1980, released 1981, called

"Go Weird". It's an album I am looking for about 20 years now, but unfortunately my final bid of £89,- (€130,-) was not enough. I hope I'll find another copy within the next 20 years (come on Wibbleys....release that album on CD!).

Another old favourite group from the 80's of mine, Portion Control is going to release all their vinyl's in a special 7xCD box. I'm looking forward to have this box.

This afternoon I bought via eBay Kraftwerk's "Notebook". This special very limited release contains both the double DVD and double CD "Minimum Maximum" and also a special book. The box looks like a notebook, like the ones they use on stage. Bleephead came by this afternoon with his copy of the live DVD. Almost 2 and a half hours of live footage, with fantastic graphics and beautiful classic movies of the Tour de France and the Trans Europe Express. "Notebook" wasn't cheap, but essential for the die hard fan! Bram also likes Kraftwerk. Specially the "Robots".

I already took a lot of photo's of my new stuff. They will appear on the site as soon as possible. I'm working on practical exams these weeks, which will cost me a lot of extra time, so don't expect the new stuff on-line in a few days.....

Friday March 3rd

Unbelievable, but I got my Rietveld shirt today. Superb service! Not everyone seems to think my blue DW-6900S is ugly. I placed  a poll on the G-Shock forum and most of the people liked it. Even Eva said that the blue color was beautiful, only the transparent blue she didn't like... Just the other way around.

We went shopping for a Birthday present for a friend yesterday. I saw a nice clothing shop and dived into it. I found a very nice Pornstar shirt with 40% off the price. It had a funny tag that can be used as a door sign. After removing the tags at home I hung the door sign on our bedroom door.  A few years later Eva came down a bit irritated, saying: "Next time you may explain pictures". I didn't know what she was talking about, until she mentioned the door sign. Apparently Bram noticed it.

Ooooooooops!

------------------------------

Thursday March 2nd

When I finished the news section Tuesday, I forgot I had some very nice watches last week.  To start with some ugly G's. The first one is a purple DW-6630B. The ugliest is a blue version of the DW-6900S (I guess this is the correct model number). It looks like the DW-003S series, except the name G-Lide cannot be found anywhere. The body is transparent light blue, but the watchband is deep sky blue. Yuk!

 Image hosting by Photobucket

Also I got a bronze/grey  Double Velcro DW-004V-9V "Backlash". Very strange was a DWM-101 with a vague gold colored watchband. After a turn in the was machine it appeared it was a white watchband version that had become a "little" dirty.

Very cool was a small package with an "Adrastos". It's my third. The bad thing is that during transport the plastic buckle is broken. I'm now trying to get a leather DW-002RS watchstrap at Tiktox (it's already ordered for me).

The best thing I got was a second DWM-100 Hip Hop History. I'm wearing the other already for a whole week. It's simple EL design is very clear and beautiful. I think I will replace it soon, because when the school starts again Monday, I need a countdown timer function.

 Image hosting by Photobucket

My Rietveld shirt is already on it's way to me by UPS. The tracking device says it is scheduled for tomorrow. That would be very quick, but who knows!

There is also another very nice item on it's way to me. It will be my second of this model and it has cost me a load of money. I hope to have it next week. Would be very cool to wear it!

------------------------------

Tuesday February 28th

Last week I won a DW-9550 BPM model last week. It's still on it's way to me. Yesterday I also won a G-Shock Hawaiian Pro T-Shirt Auction. It looked very nice, so I hope it is in real too.

Another seller retracted a bid on a G-Shock Rash Guard . I had also did on a nice Billabong shirt, but the Rash Guard was of course the main course! I also discovered Rietveld USA. They have awesome T-Shirt and Rash Guard designs! I'm think I'm going to buy this shirt in the near future.

  ©Rietveld

Actually, I just bought one... €34,- is a bit pricey I guess, but I can't take my eyes of this print for a few days already. I have also laid an eye on a Rash Guard for the summer.

I also bought a Hook Ups shirt and two (decent) Yellow Fever shirts. Very nice!

I'm also waiting for 4 Baby-G watches which are coming in from Slovenia or Austria. TTFN!

------------------------------

Sunday February 19th

I found some Baby-G's in Slovenia. I actually won one, but the seller had three other models with a dead battery for a reasonable price. The one I won is a black analogue version. I think it's a great gift for Bram, who now is into ciphers and reading time. A digital is still too much for him, but an analogue will be good for him.

Yesterday Joost came by. I bought a black Charge XTi for him. He showed me his Leatherman Crunch. Of course I couldn't let this opportunity pass to take some quick pictures. I was about to leave for some fun shopping in Belgium, so I was a bit in a hurry. Still I think I did a good job. All pictures were taken within 1 or two minutes.

Tuesday our school has it's open doors day, so I have to clean and arrange a lot of things tomorrow and I will be away Tuesday the whole day. Probably I will be exhausted Wednesday, but I shall try to keep the news up to date, since a lot of G's will be arriving this week.

------------------------------

Friday February 17th

I also finished the pages for the DWM-100 Hip Hop History and the Leatherman C2. Enjoy the pictures! I also got rid of the Pop-Up's in my guestbook. Somehow I forgot to remove that code, which made the post of Lode a bit funny. Probably the only place where Pop-Ups appear. May someone else trap into a page with these horrible Pop-Ups, please tell me which page caused that trouble.

Thursday February 16th

I made 2 nice pages dedicated to the two ultimate beauties that arrived two days ago. I still can't believe I actually own a Guardian Angels Raysman... Also the silver edition of the Antman is superb. This evening I won a black analogue Baby-G for just €11.50. I think I keep it as a present for Bram so he can learn reading time. I also got 4 e-mails of sellers that got my money today. Probably there will be a heap of G's rolling in next week. Not all are mine, but it's still fun all those packages.

I'm also working on the Hip Hop History model and my new Leatherman C2, that I also got last week.

------------------------------

Wednesday February 15th

It's pretty busy here at G-Peopleland. Tomorrow I have a practical test, which costs me a lot of extra time to get prepared and next Tuesday we have our Open Doors Day. I whish I had some extra time to clean the labs, but it appears to be a last minute job.

Yesterday I received my much wanted Red Lettered Antman and Guardian Angels Raysman. The Antman was actually already since October or November waiting for me. Ozzie moved from Japan to Australia, so he kept it for me in a special place. I already took the pictures, but I have to go to a meeting of our Chemistry group tonight.

I also took some pictures of my DWM-100 Hip Hop History model. I actually won another of this model Sunday, so in the near future I will have probably two of them. Would be great to have one to wear.

I also won an "Adrastos". Actually it's my third of this great model. I had a thrilling race on a DW-9100 Riseman. I was overbid only 20 seconds before ending, so I rapidly placed a higher bid. My bid was just 7 cents higher than the second highest bid. I guess that bidder would eat his shoes now, because I won it by €33,-, which is a steal. Actually it's not mine, but for a far friend, who probably is very happy with it.

Saturday February 11th

I found a message in my guestbook a few days ago of Putra from Indonesia. There was also a link to his art website, which indeed contained a picture of him and his DW-6600. I couldn't resist contacting him and ask to contribute in my G-People section. Yesterday evening he sent me a nice looking message picture, which I used for his G-People page. Thanks Putra and off course your girlfriends too.

Friday February 10th

I finally found a way to get rid of the nasty pop-up's. Not funny to pay at least $30,- a month to get banner less hosting and then get those parasitic adds popping up everywhere. I'm trying to get these HTML codes cracked on all my pages, but for now I already have done the most important.

Today I received a little package containing a Leatherman C2 with leather sheath and a Leatherman T-Shirt. Now I have something else to wear than all those G-Shock T-Shirts.

I tried to go to work today, but I was obviously a bit to early. I went to the other department to hand over some important papers (well, it was my new signed contract, actually). When I got back with my bike in my own annex building I had to recover for 10 minutes, while I didn't even had rode hard.

Whatch-U-Seek is still down. I phoned Ernie this afternoon, and he told me that last night a specialized company has recovered already 66% of the data without any errors. I keep my fingers crossed that the other 33% will be error free too. In that case a new hard drive with data will be put in the server. Of course I hope the server will be up this night or tomorrow morning, but if anything doesn't want to cooperate, I'm afraid it will take much longer. Well, I don't have much time tomorrow morning. Bram has to go to his swimming lessons. Lets see what happens if I open Mozilla Firefox after swimming.....

------------------------------

Thursday February 9th

Friday last week I felt suddenly not O.K. At the beginning of the evening I had a 39.9ºC fever. Although the fever got lower at the end of the weekend, I was still very sick. Today I feel a bit better for the first time, although I'm feeling very weak. Our school made the national news. I wasn't the only one. From the 800 student 290 were sick at home. The health services is investigating the outbreak. Probably there is a new invasive influenza virus hanging around.

Saturday I received the package with 6 G-Shock's. I already resold the "Taxidriver" and the "Redzone" which were both the best of the lot, but there was also a nice "Vinyl World", which I yesterday revived with a new battery.

Yesterday I received a second GW-700DU, which I am actually wearing now. It's the last model they had for sale at Tiktox. I have no regret getting a second. I definitely think this is the best one of the first generation models of "The G", although the MTG-930 is nice too.

I also got a little package with 2 G-Shock's in it. One is a black model DW-6100, the second one is a "Redzone" which was a bonus at the auction. I am at 9 G's within one week and there are still 2 BIG models on their way to me. One of them is a model I always wanted to have. A friend of the G-Forum has got one for me from Japan. The second one is a nice big JA model, but comes from Australia. I believe it was sent out Monday. Let's look how long an insured package will travel from there to me.

WatchUSeek is of the air. The main server collapsed and somehow the back-up data is corrupt. I got a mail from the owner that the hard disk is being investigated by a company specialized in recovering data from crashed hard drives. Let's hope the posts of the last year will be recoverable... If not, the forums have to start all over again from scratch...

------------------------------

Wednesday February 1st

I made up some new pages again. First I put my DW-6695 "Buchstabe  S" on-line. It's a series released by Topwatches. Buchstabe means "Letter"  in German. I believe the whole alphabet was available. Of course I went for my initial.

I also put my new Leatherman Wave and it's Bit set on-line. Made thi pics in my laboratory. I think they look great. I also added a seller to the Leatherman main page. I bought 3 times a Leatherman from Linda. Every time I got the tools in three or four days after paying it, without any problems. I can highly recommend her.

There are two real hot, but very rare and much wanted by me models in the pipeline. One is already sent to me, another is from Japan, via the U.S. on it's way to me. More I cannot say, because I simply do not have them in hands. In the far future (end of February or march) there is maybe another great G-Shock coming up..... Until then I will be very low profile. Each one will cost me about my monthly budget for G-Shock's alone...Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Sunday January 29th

The musical Roma is over. Bram returned home after staying with his grandma for two nights. I went to bed around 4 am yesterday and got up around 10, so I'm very tired this evening. I got myself a nice black Leatherman Wave 2005  yesterday. I also got a  sheath with extra bits for my Charge and Wave 2005.

Not much luck with G-Shock's today. In the last 10 seconds I have been out-bid on a nice DW-6200  in like new condition. Strange... I always thought it was a very un-popular model.

Well, time to go to bed. Tomorrow the first normal working day of the week...

------------------------------

Friday January 27th

Yesterday I got nice "Racing  Ralph" tires for my mountain bike. They have a width of 2.25", so maybe I won't sink away on the beach with my almost 100 kilo's!

I won a interesting lot of 6 G-Shocks Wednesday. I think they are in new condition as they are from a collector. In it were the two DW-6900H models, the "Taxidriver" and the "Redzone", which I bought for two friends.

I also pulled the trigger for a black Leatherman Wave 2005. I ordered it together with the extra bit set and a Leatherman Charge XTi for Joost, who also has a small Leatherman collection.

Great things those pocket PC's! At the moment I'm sitting at the technique desk in the City Theatre, facing an orchestra of 50 people. Now they close the curtain, indicating it's 20 minutes from start of the show.

I did it again. I shaved all my hair, but 10 little spikes on top of my head. When I cycled to the theatre (almost 5 km) my bike computer told me it was - 3°C! I'm glad I'm inside now! Somehow temperatures seem to drop dramatically every time I shave off my hair. I also accidentally used the wrong dye. Now my hair is orange red instead of poppy red.

Noortje wanted to show my G-520D-4AV to her boyfriend last week, but she fell in love with the model herself, her best friend told... I tried to find her the whole week, but yesterday I found her working on an art project. I could get myself together to ask my watch back....

Monday January 23rd

Today our schools theatre production "Roma" started building, rehearsing and sound checking in the our city theatre. For the third time I'm responsible for the special effects and this time I also have edited the dance music. I had got a 14 hour working day, so I'm exhausted and there are 5 more to go. I have got a lot of mails with questions. Normally I try to answer them as fast as possible, but please give me some time this week. I won't be behind my computer very much.

I just bought a Black Leatherman Wave 2005 in the U.S. Maybe I have it Saturday. Well, enough for now, off to bed.

------------------------------

Tuesday January 17th

Well, after finishing my Leatherman section, I couldn't sit still. Yesterday evening I took some time to take pictures of my non-G-Shock watches. Somehow I managed to make up 5 new pages in this section. Besides my PRG-50T and PRG-80 I also found a DW-400 Tachymeter I once got from my friend Leon in Maryland. I also added two non-Casio watches. The first is my 01Binary "Samui Moon", the second one is my awesome "Barcode SS" by Tokyo Time Evolution. Personally I think this one looks better than the PIMP watch. Pimpin' ain't easy!

------------------------------

Monday January 16th

This weekend I worked hard to get all my new pages on-line. After editing and resizing a lot of pictures I guess everything I wanted to show is on-line. Today I added counters on those pages. My newest tools, the Juice Xe6, the Squirt P4 and my awesome Charge XTi Black, you can find them  all in my new Leatherman section

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I also have the page of the DW-6900RC-1DR "Club Style" on-line.

This weekend I won a lot of two G-Shock's. The first is a DW-6900H-4 "Red Zone" and the second is a DW-6100 with a black dial. The DW-6900-4 is for a friend, while the DW-6100 will be for my collection. My old DW-6100 is unfortunately not functioning like I wanted. The only gadget on this watch, the Thermometer, is defect.

------------------------------

Friday January 13th

Today I took a lot of pictures of objects that I want to show on my website. Most important was of course the DW-6900RC-1DR of the "Club Style" series. I have it a few days after Christmas, but haven't took the time to get some decent pictures of it.

 Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The second object was a Leatherman Squirt P4 in red, that I got in a Gift Box.

 Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The last object was my new Oakley Sunglasses. Here it is on one of my students.

 Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I have edited all the pictures for my website, but it's gotten very late now, so I have to build further another time. Tomorrow I will be busy all day. I've made the special sound effects for our school musical "Roma" and have tried them just today for the first time (yep, I'm a bit late, because the performances will be over a week). Today I also worked out the music for the dancers with our choreographer. First I have to take Bram for his swimming lessons, after that I will be at the first total repetition of "Roma". After that I need to go for a 45km ride to get new Yeast for my beers at school. I'm afraid both yeasts have given up and need to be injected with fresh  colleagues. Tomorrow evening I'm going out to a party. A friend, who happened to be a local celebrity is getting 50 and I'm invited to his private party. I'm very curious what he's bringing up tomorrow.

Yesterday I bought the Leatherman C2, that I wanted instead of the P4. It was a little mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Leatherman T-Shirt with it. That yellow logo looks very flashy on a black shirt.

I abused my "Gold Defender" Frogman again for the G-Shock Forum. I put it in a plastic beaker of Bram and filled it with water. After a couple of hours in our deep freezer there was a large lump of I on my watch. I think it looks funny, but I'm glad my Frog is still running smoothly.

Wednesday January 11th

I found two packages yesterday evening when I got home. The first contained great Oakley Straight Jacket Sunglasses with black Iridium lenses. They allow more light through than the 24k Iridium lenses on my white version. This last one is probably only useful at very bright sunlight conditions. I would like to try them this summer in the shopping centre of Vlissingen (Flushing) this summer. When they renovated it a few years ago, they used bright white pavement. I'm a bit of like nocturnal animal. When the sun shines, even if it's only a bit, the light hurts my eyes.

 Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The other package contained two Leathermen. The first one was a red  Squirt P4. It came in a relative big gift box, so I actually had to look inside to find it, since it's only 2.5" long. I also got a leather sheath for it.

 Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The second Leatherman was a black Charge XTi. It looked great, although I had to acquaint to it's light weight and it's somewhat unreal feel. The set included also a clip with several Leatherman Bits, which are different from the hexagonal know I from rechargeable screwdrivers, etc.

Today I took some pics from it, so I can add them in the little Leatherman corner. Maybe I start a Sports  Sunglasses topic too;-).

This afternoon I saw Noortje studying at a table. Just before Christmas I sold her one of my Baby-G's. Although for a friendly price, it was about all the money she earned by serving drinks at a local restaurant. Actually she bought it for her friend. I said this Baby-G looked very feminine, but he still wanted to try. When he actually saw the watch, he agreed that it wasn't a real sturdy boys watch and Noortje decided to keep the watch herself. Since she told me she never wore jewelry, I was very curious. She wore a long sleeve T-shirt. She smiled to me when she saw me standing next to her at the table. I felt her wrist and noticed the silhouette of a watch under her sleeve. She continued smiling when I said I was just checking. She said that it will never leave her wrist. Well, when it warmer outside we should take new pictures of her with her new watch. As for her friend. I met him for a sec on Christmas Eve, and although I had drunk a couple of bottles of beer, he looked like a cool guy. I guess he needs a big looking sturdy G-Shock to match him.

Wednesday January 4th.

Now I have a PDA I like to write for my news section on nice and quiet places. Well, this might be an exception to that. We promised Bram to visit an indoor playground. I loaded my PDA with a big load of MP3's, mainly the fragile songs of Spinvis.

Now, here I am... Next time I take a closed headphone with me. The music I'm listening to at the moment is overwhelmed by the screaming of hundreds of children. The playground is located in a large farm shed, and the sounds are reflected against every smooth wall. I shall include excerpts of texts translated in my today’s news update.

"a man died tonight. Now, there he just lies. Don’t you wonder who's driving in his car tomorrow?"

The Beer Tasting evening didn't bring up very excited beers, but at the end, when everybody else went home, I stranded in the New Years concert of "de Mug", my favourite pub. In the restaurant part I found some old students of me, that I frequently meet there in the weekends, but didn't expect there on a Tuesday night. One of the was Elisabeth. Unfortunately Suzanne wasn't with them (normally she hangs out with the same group, but she had to study for some heavy exams). Unexpected I landed in several bars before I rolled into bed around 2:00am.

"What can you say about Eva? She has been kissed by faith. She got a friend for life. And a little child from God"

I have two new entries  in the G-People section. The first one was my long waiting nephew Joseph. I saw I got the photos already in November. My sister Mea had sent an enormous load of pictures I couldn't use. One of them was their Goldfish in a tea pot, kept warm with paraffin tea lights.

"I'm not a lunatic. I'm completely not a lunatic. No, I'm not at all a lunatic. I'm just an artificial made lunatic "

The second entry is Paul A's. He works as a driller in the outback of Western Australia. He drills for gold and other valuable metals. Tough work that require a watch that withstand impacts and strong vibrations. I saw his collection today. He posted them on the W.U.S. G-Shock forum.

"God speed, now you haven't got any weight. Astronaut, travel faster than the light. The planets whisper soft, about the wonders that waits for you. Don't look back, but always forward. Have a good trip, hold on tight and be careful."

Today I received a G-2300 in mint condition, but completely dead. I placed it for a while in bright sunlight (which luckily is available in large amounts today). When we leaved this afternoon I saw the charge level was one out of four, which can mean bad news... The first two bars should not take a such along time is my experience on this model. If I have to replace the rechargeable, it won’t be too bad. The watch cost me €11,50 including shipping. A new battery plus water resistance  test cost me €14,-. I think €25,50 is a good price for a new G-2300.

"What would you laugh at me as you saw me, with my shirt, my house, and my old looking face"

I ordered two new Leatherman's for my collection. The first is a black oxide finish Charge XTi. I had seen them for a while on eBay now and wanted to gave one for a long time. The second one is a red Squirt P4. I bought bit accidentally, because I thought it was a C2. The P4 is actually a Leatherman Micra with an anodized finish. The C2 is the little brother of the XE6, that I got in December. I have mailed the seller if I could change my order (with paying for the extra costs of course!). I have not yet received a mail, but I hope it reaches him or her before it's sent out...

"That the light in her eyes hurt that much, that the dog doesn't come anymore if she whistles. That she wants to go to sleep for a long time, her voice is as thin as her skin. There is a raging rabbit in her guts. I have a stone, that bears her name,  in my mouth. The terrified animal,  in her eyes, there is blood in the toilet, when she pukes"

 ------------------------------

Tuesday January 3rd, 2006

I hope you all have survived those loads of food and drinks on New Years Eve. Well, I still have both hands. We managed to fire up all our fireworks in barely 30 minutes. Just around the corner they build a big fire and some guys had bought enormous amounts of professional fireworks (one of the works for a party organization so he probably has easy access).

We enjoyed great beers. My friend Acid Jack had brought a bottle of Deus Brut des Flandres with him, which we drunk after the clock stroke 12 on Bleephead's Waveceptor. My yellow Raysman also showed the right time. We forgot to look if the extra second was added (the last minute of the year has a leap second and counts to 60 seconds, to compensate fluctuations in the rotation of the Earth).

 Image hosted by Photobucket.com

When the glasses were empty Bleephead uncorked a big bottle of Malheur Brut. At the begin of the evening we drunk a big bottle Gouden Carolus Easter, which I once traded with my brother Paul for a big bottle Cuvee l'Emperor 2004. A very good choice. Maybe I'll go to Belgium again this weekend with my brother. He sometimes finds great beers in a large supermarket just outside Antwerp. Tonight I will have my monthly Beer Tasting evening, so beers are not off the program yet.
