This is
the DW-8300, released in September, 1995. This is one of the hugest
G-Shock's ever made. It's called "Heavy Metal" in Germany, and you
can see why. You can consider it a classic design, because many of those
were sold, and there are a lot of collectors wanting or having this
watch. I own 4 of these big G-Shocks After owning these Heavy Metals for
a few years, the Science Fiction series "Stargate SG1" used this model
for the Stargate crew for a few seasons. This is the reason this model
is sometimes also called "Stargate". |
